Stamping on something other than paper....

Hi,
Oh dear we're back to cold weather again , my hands are dry and sore, I can't get them warm!!!
Just a quick post today as my new stamp sets have arrived from Gina K so need to get them ready to play!!
I thought I would show you a tray cloth I stamped with one of Gina's stamp sets, Home Tweet Home by Rupa Shevde The cloth is Linen and I just used VersaFine Vintage Sepia as I knew I would cover the ink with thread. After I stamped I head set it by ironing over a piece of white paper. I used silk embroidery thread for my simple stitches (small back stitch , french knots and colonial knots). Six strand embroidery cotton would work just as well and I think it would be nice stitched in just one colour say blue.
Anyway hope you like this - just something different to try with your stamps.
I'm off to make some mushroom soup - it's definitely soup weather and Walshie had a dental appointment today so think we better keep things simple!!!!
Till next time......
