Gingerbread Christmas

Hello, glad you managed to drop by, today I've a Christmas card for show-and-tell!!!!
A Gingerbread House, I love to see these sweet treats at Christmas, but I've never made one.

OK this little card is my entry to the following challenges, Card Patterns Sketch 38.

The second challenge is Cute Card Thursday (83) who set the challenge to include sweets or as the Aussies say 'lollies'. This little house has liquorish roof tiles, a lollipop tree and see those flowers along the front of the house they're actually liquorish allsorts!!!! Oh and see the dp...wrapped sweeties...lol have I lost the plot?????

I've used two different stamp sets for this card. The House and Trees are from The Stamp TV kit by GKD and the sentiment is from GKD Holiday Hospitality. Inks used are Memento Tuxedo Black and SU Kiwi Kiss with the colouring worked in Copic's.
Plain White card for the base card and the stamped pieces. American Crafts Rouge plain card and DP is from Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses. I used my corner punch to punch the scalloped edge . Kaisercraft red gems, red ribbon and a button from my stash complete this little card.

This is a great layout for making multiple cards I'll be using it for some of my Christmas cards for sure.

The sun came out about lunchtime yesterday. I'm hoping we'll get a sunny weekend as 'Walshie' and I are off to help a friend celebrate her birthday. She lives about four hours drive from here so we plan to make a weekend of it. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
Till next time..........
Edit: I received this cool blog award from my friend Selma. Thanks Selma, I'm honoured, my new-look blog will wear it proudly!
Now what can I tell you that you might not know about me......
1. My Birthday is 24th February.
2. I've just changed by blog style, which you can see but I lost all kinds of gadgets cos I just dive in! lol
3. Walshie and I have booked our Christmas holiday on Lindeman Island. (we don't enjoy the festive time so far from family and just the 2 of us!)
4. I have a terrible memory - forget names but never faces.
5. I've a collection of handmade dolls, bears and bags!!
Whew..... I was struggling there!!!
I'd like to pass this award on to all the great blogger's out there it's hard to pick just a couple! So please share this one around.
