Tis the season.....

Hello Blogger's!

Thanks for dropping by today, and I'm so pleased you liked my card 'Noel' it's joining my favourites.

Today's card will fit three challenges... yeah. The first is my entry for Nina's challenge over at There's Magic In The Air. Nina gave us a gorgeous little image to play with 'skating by', the challenge was to use the image and something reflective.

The second challenge is from Just Us Girls who have asked to see some dry embossing on our creation. The last challenge is Cupcake Craft Challenge which is to use a digital image.

I saw a card made by Beate Johns, which is where I got the layout for my card, she called it a Joy Fold Card. Quite a simple construction with layers and stitching.
The base of my card is Chocolate heavy weight card from GKD cut at 4 1/4" x 6 1/4" scored and folded at 2". Two layers of card added to the 4 1/4" square, the top red card from Basic Grey Wassail was embossed with Swiss dots through the Cuttlebug. Then I stitched a zig zag before attaching this to the chocolate card.
The 2" fold was covered with apple green card from GKD which was embossed with QuickKutz diamonds and dots. At the top of this I added some white card that has been punched with a Fiskars end brackets punch (? that's what I call this punch). Again I stitched around this section then tied the bow.
The centre flap is cut at 3" x 6", scored and folded. On the front I added plain white card with the edges inked followed by more apple green that I stamped a snowflake over using Versa Mark ink. More stitching around this square.
I sized and printed the image cut it using a Nestabilities circle die and sponged before colouring with Copic markers. I've added some Martha Stewart glitter to his hat and some silver foil for the ice. The circle sits on two scalloped circles of tin foil.

The inside is made up of more white and apple green card. I traced the hat and added it to the inside colouring it with a zig red pen and added the dots at the bottom corner to finish off.

The sentiment was computer generated cut with a circle die then matted to more of the red dp. I used two layers of foam at the bottom of the circle to stand it up high enough to keep the flap closed but still able to open the card without pulling this off.

Still time for Nina's challenge - go get your image and play along!!

Hope you like this one!
Till next time.............
