Spring Has Sprung.....

Well ...... that might be a bit of an exaggeration, the sun is trying very hard here today but plenty of cloud around and cool .  I'm not sure I'll ever get used to making Spring cards in September, it's a bit like Christmas at the height of Summer..... just feels odd!

Today's card uses a little  digi image that I coloured last night with a few Copic markers, her name is Paula and she came from Clip Art and Digital Art.  How sweet are these cute little 'dolly' images? such fun to colour.

She's been sized on the computer and printed on X-Press It Blending Card.  This is an Australian card (fancy that!) and if you haven't tried it and use Copic markers you should, I promise you'll love it!

The pearlescent mint green card has been randomly stamped with various butterfly stamps to keep with a Spring theme.  I added a bit of detail to the sentiment tag on this one, I quite like it ..... not too OTT...what do you think?  All the butterflies and the sentiment are GKD stamps.

This little card is my entry in the following challenges:

Bee Crafty  Anything goes.
Stamp Something  Something cute.

Thanks for the nice comments on yesterday's card ...... not really one of my favs I have to admit, I'm tempted to try again!

I had to share this picture with you today...... These beautiful orchids have been sitting in my hall for 2 weeks!!! They still look as fresh as the day they arrived with a friend of mine.  Would you believe she grows these beauties on a retaining wall in her back garden !!!

Her husband has promised when he next thins them out to give me a cutting....... Oh the pressure.....I will try so hard not to kill them, but my track record with orchids is not good.
I wonder if Wallabies like them, they seem to like eating every other plant I like in the garden..........

Till next time.

  2. Very sweet card! I love your colouring.
Those orchids are beautiful. My parents used to grow orchids too. They wouldn't do well in my care unfortunately.
