The Hop starts and ends at the Scrapbook Boutique Blog. If you're following along you should have arrived from Sue K's blog and when you leave me you hop over to Therese's Blog.
The hop is open for one week, closing at midday Thursday 17th November.
Unfortunately the blog hop prize (and the inspiration challenge) are only open to anyone with an Australian mailing address.
We would love you to play along with our regular monthly inspirational challenge.
The theme is add dots and spots. Make a project using the following picture as your inspiration

I've a little Christmas gift set to share today, not too much stamping on this more die cutting and manipulating paper...... The card is pretty straight forward and this little round gift box stands just 2 inches tall.
Dots and spots.....Swiss dots embossed on my card and pretty die cut ribbon and punched spots on the gift box.
The Merry Christmas sentiment is from a Heartfelt Creations set called 'Holiday Poinsettia Candle'
Product List

Accessories: Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia, Edgeabilities Mix and
Match Classics – Classic Petal.
Small Circle and standard scalloped circle dies. Grand Calibur.
Rangers: Star Dust Stickles. Cotton twine. Beacon Zip Dry glue. Art Glitter dries clear
adhesive. 3D Foam squares. Hole punch. ScorPal.
For those who like to know how we put things together here are the instructions....sorry they are a bit long winded hope you can follow them!
Instructions: - Card:
1.
Trim, score and fold smooth white card to make a
5.5” x 4.25” top fold card.
2.
Trim powder blue card to 1/8” smaller and emboss
with Swiss dots e.f. Adhere to card base.
3.
Trim smooth white card to 1.75” x 4.5”.
4.
Die cut and emboss off the left edge of the card
using the 2nd size (with the 1st being the smallest) die.
5.
Stamp Merry Christmas from the HC set in tuxedo
black. Wrap some cotton twine around the strip of white card and finish with a
bow.
6.
Using foam squares add this section to the card
front.
7.
From Crimson card and using the 1st
(smallest) die, die cut and emboss two sets of poinsettia petals. Whilst still in the die sponge with rhubarb
stalk ink.
8.
Using dries clear adhesive, assemble the
poinsettia, adding three adhesive pearls to the centre and some Stickles to the
top layer of petals.
9.
Add a spot of dries clear adhesive to the back
of the poinsettia to attach within the die cut shape on the white card to
complete.
Round Box.
1.
The box is made with a 2.5” x 9” length of
smooth white card. Score at .5” and snip
inverted V shapes along the length to enable you to form a smooth circle or
tube.
2.
Using the Spellbinder small circle dies and the
3rd largest die cut and emboss 3 smooth white circles. (2 for the
lid and 1 for the base).
3.
Loosely form a tube from the 9” strip, with the
inverted V tabs sitting flat on your work surface. Push one die cut circle to the base of your
tube and alter the tube to fit nice and tight around the circle. Once you have
this tight mark and trim the 9” length if needed and adhere with Zip dry to
assemble your box.
4.
Using the 3rd largest scalloped die from
the large die set cut 2 Crimson scalloped circles.
5.
Adhere one Crimson scalloped die to the base of
your round box.
6.
Decorate the box by die cutting from powder blue
card the edge only with Insert A from Spellbinders Classic Petal set. By
positioning the die carefully you can use the negative cut to decorate the lid.
7.
The lid is made in the same way from a 1” strip
of white card with .25” inverted V’s cut. Before
adhering the sides of the tube make sure the lid fits over the base of your box.
Add the powder blue negative cut and using a hole punch. Punch some circles
from scraps of the crimson, powder blue and mint card to add between the
scallops. Adding the 2nd Crimson scalloped circle to the top of the
lid.
8.
Over the
top of the Crimson scalloped card add the third white circle.
9.
Die cut, emboss and sponge 1 of the 1st
size and 2 of the 2nd size poinsettia petals. Assemble the flower
adding three adhesive pearls to the centre and some Stickles.
10. From mint card die cut, emboss and ink using
pear tart ink three leaves. Trim them so they just show beneath the poinsettia
petals and adhere to white circle.
11. Add
the layered poinsettia using a foam square to pop it up.
12. Tie
a double loop bow in some cotton twine and using dries clear adhesive add this
to the box lid.
