Hi Blogger's,
Today is the first Topical Tuesday over at 'Stamp, Embellish, Create' and Andrea shared how she uses inks to create a distressed card. Pop over to take a look......she's posted a little video too. The link is in my side bar.
My regular readers know that this is a technique I struggle with......I'm the one who gets distressed! However, it's a new site and we want to encourage everyone to join in, so I though I'd give it a try!!!
Still struggled......I get too much ink on the card and even more on me......I'm not happy at all with this card but here goes.........
I used Ranger Distress inks and the special sponge tool. The flower is from ABS Stemmed Flowers and I've added a button with some beautiful fine hemp twine both ABS.......love the twine best of all!
Your distressing looks fine to me do not beat yourself up. The card is lovely and bright to makes me smile. Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with yours! It looks great and yes, the twine is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to try new things Sue. Whats's that saying ... Practice makes good. I think you did a pretty good effort, even if it is something you're not that confident at.
ReplyDeleteThis is quite pretty! I love the flower and the button treatment!
ReplyDeleteGreat sponging, love the hemp and button, very pretty card.
ReplyDeleteYou girls are the BEST.........too kind!
ReplyDeleteSorry you got distressed Sue, but I'm thinking your card is just fine! If you would prefer a lighter background, maybe stamping off on a scrap paper before applying to your card stock would help.
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful! If you didn't tell us it did not come out like you planned,we'd not know! We are our own worst critics.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
