A card from the 'new place'

Hi Bloggers,

Hope this post finds you all fit and well. I've been working on a couple of cards from our new place. I can't tell you how good it feels to be sitting down playing with paper again.  I hope to try and get back into the swing this week, maybe even a little blog commenting....I know I've missed so much and am really looking forward to seeing what everyone's been up to!

So first I thought I'd add a little picture here of the view I wake up to every day......it's hard to move out to the back where I have a little space for crafting I promise you.

Today I have my card for our Roses challenge...........yep I'm a day late but I know the girls will understand and I might just make the last Sunday of the month in US time :)

Olga chose the challenge this month, asking for a Mother's Day card using at least one flower, a sentiment and one die cut.  OK so here's what I came up with.......what d ya think?

I've die cut some small pinwheel posies using a memory box die, then added the swirls that were left after cutting the flowers.......cute ah!  I couldn't resist adding a little Martha Stewart punched butterfly too.  

This pretty dp is from DCWV the Mariposa Matstack.....one of the pads I discovered when I was packing up the Sydney craft room :)  The sentiment is from Stamp It  a lovely sentiment set called Celebrate.

Scrapbook Boutique - With Love.

Today's card is one I made with products from Scrapbook Boutique.  It's great being able to get all the latest stamps, dies, papers etc. here in Australia and once your order is placed Evelyn and her team get your order to you right away......fabulous!

On with my card which I made for my SIL Birthday and it uses one of Marianne's beautiful Basket dies filled with flowers.....the next best thing to an actual bouquet!

Beautiful design papers from Authentique as well as some of the pretty pink for flowers from My Minds Eye.

All kinds of die cut blooms  here from MFT, C.C. Designs and Heartfelt Creations. Antique gold pearls added to the centre of each.  A flourish, some sponging around all the edges and to finish some satin ribbon.

Here's my card for the challenge, using Mollys Flowers a sweet little image that's fun to colour.

I had to be a bit creative with this one as all my punches and most of my dies had been packed away :)  So for the scalloped side I've added some pretty AnnaBelle petals in pink and matched them with a layered flower for the circle element.  Shhh don't tell.... but I added a sentiment tag too ....just because!

AnnaBelle Stamps - Say It With a Stamped Background

Hi Blogger's.....

Well not too sure what happened to my last post for AnnaBelle Stamps Friday challenge!!!! I had it all ready to go as Friday was moving in day for us!!!  Now I'll be the first to say that I was just a bit stressed on the run up to the move........ It had rained solid for 2 days prior to Thursday which was when they were loading up two vans with all our possessions :)   Not much sleep was had Wed. night but someone was looking down on us as at 7am when the van arrived the rain stopped!!! Unbelievable...  It was 5pm when Walshie and I left Sydney for the 4 hour drive and dry most of the way.  At 7am Friday we opened the doors and starting the unloading again dry weather even some sunshine.

The week end was mad! My packing list saved us a few times and by Sunday we had the lounge, 2 bedrooms and the kitchen sorted.......well at least looking a bit more like ours :)

I've been clearing and cleaning an area to use for my space today as Walsh has gone back down to Sydney. Joy of joys the new modem arrived and after an hour of messing around I think I'm back on line yeah!!! Kept the Gmail address but have a new Home one so will try and work out how to send that to my address book........anyone know how to do that in one quick step?????

Now to try and get back on track........ I'm not unpacking lots of boxes until the house in freshly painted and Walshie is already on to that!!  I do have a ready stash of goodies to play with though so will get back into things a.s.a.p.  

Now back to AnnaBelle's challenge for last Friday.......stamped backgrounds!  Not hard to do with the gorgeous sets Andrea has available in store.......go take a look!

I really like how this one turned out........hope you'll join in again this week.
