Hello crafty friends........
Friday again and time for this week's challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps. Andrea has a colour challenge for us this week, we hope you'll join in again.
One lucky person is going to win a copy of Dotted Flowers...check this out, it's a great 6 x 4" set of 24 stamps. Just link your card to the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog or, if you don't have a blog, you can add a card to the gallery at Stamp, Embellish, Create. Just remember to add the TAG ac081 to help us find it!
Here's my card this week, inspired by a card by the very talented Maile. I've stamped images from AnnaBelle's Stemmed Flowers along with the (green) swirl and sentiment from Dotted Flowers. Three green buttons and some AnnaBelle fine hemp twine added to the caramel die cut frame and to finish three AnnaBelle Icicles.....can you spot them?
Now to be honest this is my second try at this card! I thought I'd share the first attempt too. Can you see the difference?
This card is basically a one layer card with the die cut frame popped up on foam dots. Oh and the card is white on this one! The flowers are from Dotted Flowers and I stamped these in Memento Lady Bug ink, which I felt was too bright. The first card uses SU Poppy Parade which is a bit darker, I think.
I don't think there is anything wrong with this one, it's OK. I prefer the cream top one though......I think it looks more balanced.
OK that's it for me this week, take a look at the Belle's cards for more inspiration and come play with us...........
Have a great week end.............
I must say I prefer the top card - I think it is the colour and using different flowers. Both are great though - as always. Glad you shared something you weren't 100% about! Maile is very inspirational. Well I think my 5 minute break from sequins is up - better get back to it. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI think both cards look great but I also prefer the darker red. Such a fantastic design, great take on the inspiration from Maile!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, gorgeous cards, love the flowers in the first card but love how die is raised in the second.
