Hello.
Just wanted to share a card today before I leave to join the local quilters group. Still nothing too exciting to share in the sewing line.....I'm working up to starting a quilt I've had around for a while. Still need to get a couple of them machine quilted too, so perhaps I should organise that first :)
I did make up a Healing Heart block for one of our members so I'll share that for now.
Hot pinks and purples were the colour preferences so I dug into my stash, (yep I have a material stash too) and found some fabrics I thought would do the trick. A crazy heart from me, foundation pieced. (Which means, for non quilters, the design is drawn to a 6.5" square of foundation fabric and the separate pieces of fabric are sewn over the design in a set order. So stitch and flip!
OK now the card today is a Thank you card for the hospital staff who looked after my Mum. Two weeks ago she had a fall in her garden which resulted in two breaks to her ankle. She's home now and trying to get used to a walking frame.
AnnaBelle Stamps beautiful Whimsy Flowers was the image I chose, stamped to water colouring card, I coloured it with Prisma pencils and Zest It. The script is from SU and the scalloped lace was made using a SU border punch. Once the border was punched I snipped into the card after every scallop to allow me to bend and shape the lace around the die cut circle. I've seen this done by others and never tried it, but it's sooo easy!!! The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse and that pretty dp is Prima. Have I missed anything......oh yes pink ribbon from AnnaBelle Stamps :)
OK have to run, back tomorrow with this weeks AnnaBelle Stamps challenge hope you'll join us.
Til then.............
