Hello,
I didn't think I'd get a card made for this week's CAS(E) this sketch #5. We'd had a much enjoyed visit with friends from Sydney and I needed to get ahead with my DT cards before we left for Lord Howe Island. (For my O/S readers that's just off the mid north coast of Australia.)
My packing was as always, last minute but that's OK I'm used to packing a bag in a rush! After weeks of glorious weather we finally got the rain we so badly needed just in time to dampen the fires burning around here. Not so good for our trip though!
We boarded the 'little' aircraft and flew across (about 1.5 hours) but the visibility was so bad, with low cloud cover they couldn't land........circled the Island twice, I might add. Nothing to be done but turn around and fly home!!!

The 'boss' and I decided to come back to the house and sleep in our own bed before returning to try again, early the next day. Soooo, the long and the short of it..... I had time to play with this week's sketch after all and made 2 very quick cards!
Here's the sketch, interesting isn't it?
My first card using stamps from AnnaBelle Stamps, with some pink bling and two scored lines either side of the sentiment. I also rounded the bottom corners of this card.
For the second card I used SU Kraft for the base and some punched leaves decorated with ABS cherry Sprinkles.
The sentiment strip is from the KaiserCraft 6x6 inch paper pad Twig and Berry.
No stamping at all on this one........hope that's still OK!
Both cards are beautiful, Sue! Sounds like you've had an eventful weekend. Glad you are safe! Hugs...
ReplyDeleteSue, both of your cards are wonderful. I hope to play along with this sketch tomorrow. Sounds like you will get a re-do on your adventure. Hope this finds you happy and healthy. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh Sue that's terrible!! But at least we got to see your gorgeous cards- especially love the first one! Hope you got to Lord Howe today-you will love it- we went there for our honeymoon! We were always going to go back for one of our anniversaries but never did!
ReplyDeleteSo did you land the second time? Bet you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards too - the second one could go for unstampables challenge.
Can't believe it Sue.... I would LOVE to go to Lord Howe, you must be so disappointed, obviously better not to land than to land when you can't see!
