Christmas Round-up! Merry Christmas

Well it had to happen in the end!! I just ran out of time and in order to make the postal cut off date I made a few cards the same........even a couple of computer generated designs.

All the white ones are made with free images from the internet.....I quite like the dove and made 4 of those and the Christmas stocking was a real quickie........Both had some glitter added though LOL

So that's it for Christmas cards again this year........well done to all those who make them during the year.......maybe next year I'll join you :)

Hope you all got everything finished in time to relax and enjoy the festive season.

From our house to yours

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Feature Friday 027 An ornament from Love Birds!

Hi Bloggers,

AnnaBelle Stamps Feature Friday is all about the pretty Love Birds set.  Look who's still getting through her Christmas Card list :). Don't worry this one should be sitting on a mantle somewhere I promise I'm not that far behind!

If you purchase this set during the next week you'll receive a 20% discount......oh and a head start on some Valentine cards :). Check the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog for all the details.

I've used the swag as well as the hanging hearts from the set to decorate a popped up die cut bauble. Doesn't this sit well within the die cut shape?
The sentiment is from another of the Christmas sets "Holly Branch".
Some red/white stitched ribbon as well as AnnaBelle's pearl embellishments complete this simple card.

Check in with the Belle's for some fun ways to use this great set. Links are under the DT tab at the top of my page.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit today.  As this is the last post from my blog for AnnaBelle Stamps before Christmas, I'd just like to wish you all a safe and happy Christmas.

Scrapbook Boutique - Stamped Treat Sacks.

Hello,

I'm hoping BLOGGER won't let me down again today!!! My posts are not going up at the times I schedule ......for some reason.  Very frustrating :(.

I'm sharing a little project for Scrapbook Boutique today.

It's always so nice to mix up the things I enjoy doing.......stamping and sewing, in this case.

I made up these little homespun sacks to fill with goodies for my Mahjong playing friends, thinking that the bag might be put to good use after the contents are removed.
It's a great way to showcase the Memento Luxe inks, which are really perfect for Mixed Media Artists. I've also used  a Penny Black 6x4-1/4" (approx.) stamp on both the front and back of the sack.

You can find all the details over on the Scrapbook Boutique Blog today.

As with most things once I started I couldn't resist adding more and these timber embellishments which came from a local craft store, seemed like a good addition.  Check out Scrapbook Boutique you'll find some fabulous themed pieces that would work just as well, I added one I really like in the links below.  I used the matching inks to colour the timber ornaments too!

Thanks for calling past today, till next time..............    5 more sleeps, I hope you're all starting to relax ready for the festivities!!!

Hi Bloggers.

I'm sharing a simple exploding box made for Scrapbook Boutique today, you can find all the details over on the Scrapbook Boutique Blog.  There are  also a couple of links for tutorials on making these boxes..........It's the hardest thing to write about, I found.

 Detail for the centre - Day 10 and 11.

 Detail of the false insert for the lid. This holds the lid above the side images.

Thanks for taking the time to call past.

Seasons Greeting - LOTV

For this card I went back to a sweet LOTV image to colour with my Prisma pencils.  I'm still trying to complete my card list with individual designs....I think that might have to change though!

I must say, it was relaxing to just sit and colour after a busy of day of baking!!!  Oh and then I thought I'd cut the image by hand to frame it as above........Falalalala.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've been busy with my sewing needle this year too (in case you wondered why I'm not posting more cards:) )
I joined a sewing group close by and have been learning the correct techniques for Patchwork and Quilting.............I've made lots of quilts in the past, but it's been good to go back to basics and learn more about colour and fabric choices.
My first completed project was a table runner but an ongoing project has been an embroidered sewing bag, big enough to carry all my quilting projects...........Would you like to see it completed.....
and the back of the bag looks like this
I'm pretty pleased about how this turned out. I chose stronger colours than I would have in the past.....still pinks and greens but no peach in there anywhere LOL
Hope you're keeping on track!
Feature Friday 026 -
AnnaBelle Stamps Feature Friday and we're sharing more Christmas inspiration with you this week.
If you're in need of a few more cards or tags take a look at Holly Jolly Christmas and Merry Messages, both cling rubber sets. I've used a sentiment from one and an image from the second for this weeks card.
Paper pieced parcels and some silver Sprinkles......easy peasy.......well not quite! Here's my first attempt:
Hmm.......this was OK till I stamped the sentiment and I just didn't like that the angle of  Merry was opposite to the angle of the purple layer......especially with the stacked parcels.  I actually like the softer shade of the first card too LOL.   Hey ho, thought I'd share my blooper..... Now, who can I send this one to.............
Thanks for your visit, check in with the Belles for more Christmas goodness and the Blog for full details of the Friday Feature incentive - 20% of the full range of Christmas sets.
11 More Sleeps, are you ready?
Poinsettia's........must be Christmas!
Hello,
It's been a mad busy week with pre-Christmas lunches and get togethers. I've been madly baking and getting little gifts together as well as  the usual chores and trying to do a bit of Christmas shopping!
I actually kept notes of what I need and when on the calendar.........just to be sure I didn't forget anything ........madness!
This little set was put together on Wednesday evening to take  on Thursday  morning.......that's today.........cutting it fine ah!
I hadn't used the Poinsettia die at all this year...... until this card!  I thought it would go pretty well with this dp from KaiserCraft - Just believe.
I've added some stitching as it's for my sewing teacher and I've distressed it all a little as she loves murky/country colours. AnnaBelle's Merry Christmas sentiment  over some red/cream striped wide ribbon and it's done.
This is another of the trim and fold, no glue  gift boxes just like the soft blue icicle one I made a while back.  These come together very quickly and its easy to alter the size of the finished package.  The organza ribbon holds it closed above another die cut poinsettia.
Just a few more Christmas posts to come.........phew......... how many more sleeps?
Thanks for calling past................It's now 11.23 Wed. pm and I'm off to bed for an early start tomorrow.  See you Friday for AnnaBelle Stamps Friday Feature.
