How's your Swing?

Hello,

The 'boyfriend' has gone to visit our local Country Show, so I get to sit and play!
Haven't felt much like playing for a while....more about that later!  Anyway I took my Prisma's out to colour a little image I've had printed ready to go.  Oh ........ so nice to sit and colour again,

This is another card for a friend having shoulder surgery..... a golfer!  The sentiment inside says
"Hope you're back in the SWING soon"

I need to collect a few more sentiments to computer generate........any ideas?

Easter in our house was a pretty quiet affair, the bunny did visit so there was plenty of chocolate:). We also had a visit from Sydney friends which was great and helped take my mind of a back problem that just won't go away!
Tuesday morning I managed to see my Doctor who, apart from sending me for CT scan, gave me some meds for the pain until I can get an injection.....what fun ah!

That's enough sitting at the computer for me........see you soon.

Everyone needs a hug sometimes..............

Hello,

I've been having a bit of a tidy up in my 'playroom'.  Reorganising book shelves, drawers and desk space and I must say it's amazing the things you come across.  I've read all the sites that say putting things away, out of site means you forget just what supplies you own........I guess that's true BUT, and I hate to say this out loud but.......I'm a neat freak!  OK..... I said it quietly! I can't work in a muddle, that's not to say I don't spread things I'm using all across my desk......I do, but have to store everything back where it belongs when I've finished.

I'm starting to think I have too much stuff and should really go through it all. I'm thinking my plain card stock could stay, but the patterned paper, which is mostly 6x6 pads could do with a clear out. Stamps.......oh folders full of them, some  not used in ages!  Any ideas about the best way to go about a clear out?  I'd love some suggestions.

Anyway, I do have a card to share......surprise, surprise

Sorting through the shelves I store my colouring tools I found my Gelatos, another of those 'must have items' I bought last year.  I made a watery wash using a lilac colour and flicked it over the base of my card.  I quite like this soft green and lilac colour combo. Using die cuts to decorate one side of the vellum stamped sentiment layer.

I have two good friends  struggling with health issues at the moment, both of them and their families in need of hugs ......guess I need to make one more!

Thanks for your visit today...........

Happy Easter and Mother's Day in the Colonies :-)

Hi Bloggers,

Happy Easter, I really hope you celebrate a peaceful few days enjoying the company of friends and family.  The weather is  behaving itself here, with glorious sunshine which, is not always the case over the Easter break!
The nights are drawing in and getting cooler, so it won't be long before the warmer quilts come out. Goodbye summer, for a few months anyway.

Mother's Day has been and gone in the UK but here in Australia we celebrate  in early May. Mum and I agreed some years ago I'd go with our Australian date, which means she gets to celebrate twice. One with the family back there as well as a later celebration with her 'Aussie kids' or as my Dad used to say her Colonial kids!  Thankfully, I can place an order for flowers, chocolates, fancy cakes, all sorts of treats online, in the sure knowledge that they will be delivered to her front door on the day!    To be honest, I think it's half the fun anyway..... receiving a parcel on the front doorstep :)

I managed to sneak away to my craft room for an hour earlier and made a couple of cards, one of which is ready to send off to my Mum.......soon.

The image is from Gina K,  I coloured it using my Inktense pencils.  It's been a while since I played with them and I must say I like using them to create a 'wash' background to stamp over.
The sentiment is from AnnaBelle Stamps and the DP is from Kaisercraft.

Thanks for taking the time to drop by, enjoy your Easter..........

For my April project I got out the Envelope Punch Board making some little domed boxes to fill with Easter treats.

Made using a 6" square of card stock these little boxes fit three small eggs and a chick.......just right to give to friends at the craft group as an Easter token.

I've put together a photo tutorial to show how you punch, score and assemble these. If you want to mark the page and come back after you've completed the Blog Hop.  I'll also add it to my Tutorials and Such Page :). The requirements for these three boxes are listed below.

For those of you who own an Envelope Punch Board you might be interested in the following link that takes you to a 'Box Buster" on The Crafty Owl's blog.  This helps you calculate the punch and score lines for any box shape.......clever!!!

Enjoy the rest of the hop....................
