I thought this challenge would be perfect for my 2014 Christmas Treat box.

It's actually a variation of last years box here, I've just given this one  square box for the base.

If you'd like to make one you can download my pattern here which will give you a shape for the top (tree section or box lid).
I cut mine from green card with scissors and scored using a Scor-Pal.
Decorate with gems or pearls.

Using a die I cut 2 stars from gold foiled cardstock.
I used liquid glue to adhere the two hearts together keeping the bottom point open so it adheres to the actual tree.

The base is made from a 6" x 6" square of card or corrugated card.
Score the card at 2" and 4", turn and score again at 2" and 4".
Trim down to the score line, fold in and adhere to two sides in and the bottom up to make an open box.
The green tree top sits down over the bottom open box.

Mine was finished with a little stamped and coloured label. I also added a velum label (a name will be hand written here). Lastly I cut and stamped the red tag with a Christmas sentiment. Punching a whole in all three pieces and threaded to some stitched ribbon which ties around the base of the box.

I think these would be nice as a place setting on the Christmas table with some lollies added.

Thanks for calling past, now on with the hop............

Merry Christmas!
