Paper Roses...........

Hiya,
Hope you had a great week end......it was a bit stormy here in Sydney but I've been playing with my PI.
I've joined a couple of Yahoo groups as well as the Pazzles Craft Room and am learning loads from some very talented crafter's.

Today's card features these scalloped, spiral cut paper roses, a die cutting file from the Pazzles site...... so cut with my PI.

Hope you'll indulge me.......I've taken a few   pictures of this card. I want to show the dimensions of these roses, my card measures 5.5 inches square.
These are big....but big is beautiful ..... right?

The Roses were cut from cartridge writing paper which is thicker than normal copy paper but not as thick as DP.  I've cut three sizes the largest would have been about 5inches across before it was folded.  The leaves were cut with the machine too.
The base card is Sam & Lucy fruit salad pearlescent with a layer of ivory flocked card followed by some polka dot from Webster's Pages.  The stitching is drawn on (my machine punched the holes but the tension needs fixing .... and that takes time!).  A punched (Martha Stewart - Daisy Fan) and pierced layer of Webster's Pages was next with the peach ribbon wrapped around.  Next the double bow and to complete this beautiful stamped Sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps. Two sets used  'Holiday Label No 14' for the pretty frame with a sentiment from 'Frame It'.  Stamped in Color Box Chalk , Tangerine onto some more of the ivory flocked card. To attach this to the card front I've used a small piece of folded card so the top sits just proud of the card and the bottom sits more flush. (hope that makes sense!).

I added a fold of the same cartridge paper inside  for a hand written message.  I'll be making a box for this one!.......... but maybe I'll get my PI to cut that for me too!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - punches or die cuts
Stars and Stamps - NO GLITTER otherwise anything goes
A Spoonful Of Sugar - die cuts or punches

Thanks for calling by, see you soon..........
