SCS - CAS91 - Sympathy

I have two CAS cards to share today, both made for the CAS challenge at SCS.  This first one is made from a pre-folded Grant Pearlescent Card in silver grey. I've cut this card down to 4 x 4 inches  because one corner was quite badly crushed!

I've stamped the little 'Frame It' set from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  White hammered card was used with Memento London Fog ink. The centre piece I stamped in the same ink but on a scrap of the cut away silver card.  Cut out and popped up on a foam dot.

When I showed Walshie he said he wasn't sure about the 'arrowhead'...... clearly a male take on this image!  Actually there are probably too many straight lines on this card for him......and they won't be spot on, so he would hate that!!!  He'll be looking at it from every angle  aghhhhh

Here's the second one which 'the boss' likes........he clearly sees a flower with this one!

I've used Annabelle Stamps 'Thoughtful Stems' for this card with a sentiment from 'Ballerina Rose'.
Stamped onto white card in Memento London Fog, just a touch of colour from a Copic marker for the seed heads.  A spellbinder die cut the image as well as the purple mount, which I cut in half to pop above and below the stamped image.  My base card is a linen effect white card.

Today is the anniversary of my Dad's passing 12 years ago, miss him still, think about him often and especially today. x

  2. Hi Sue

Both of these are beautiful and quietly elegant. I particularly like the square one - but then I'm a WMS fan!

The loss of someone special never goes away; sending you hugs.

  4. Oh, Sue, hugs, my friend. My dear mom passed away in Dec. '99, and there isn't a day that I don't miss her. She would have loved this papercrafting! Your cards are gorgeous, but I, too, am crazy about the square one! Thanks for sharing, and I'm thinking about you!

  7. Both are gorgeous, but the colours in the top one are pretty striking - so simple, yet so effective.
