Sassy Valentine Book Card.

Hi Blogger's......

I was thrilled to receive a message from Cheryl Ager of Sassy Cheryl's Digital Stamps, asking if I would like to be one of her featured SASSY FRIENDS!    What an honour ....... I love Cheryl's digital illustrations. I bought my first one the 'Country Girl' from Squigglefly ages ago and I've added quite a few since then..........But hang on a moment.... who do I follow........
OMG..... MARLENE!!!!!  She's a hoot.......what an act to follow, give yourself a treat if you haven't paid her blog a visit yet ........ but be warned, you might blush!
I can't compete with her chat so I'll just get on with my project.

Thanks so much Cheryl, I had such fun making my Sassy Valentine Book Card using your
 Beary Valentine Stamp.

The Valentine Bear was coloured with Copic Markers and cut out to sit popped up over the red glittery heart.

I used my Pazzles Inspiration to cut the large heart and the swirly heart overlay which sits over more glittery card.

You can see from the side the folded card that makes up The 'pages' of this book . Using the PI to cut dash lines makes the folding very easy though you could do the same with a Scor-Pal.

With the book open you can see the recess for a small gift or just a sentiment.  I've added two chocolate hearts wrapped in stamped tissue paper.
The inside of the book has been kept very simple with a layer of red card followed by some co-ordinating dp
A small pocket holds a gift card  which is where I've added a written message.

This project is made in three stages:

1. The folded square, which represents the pages. I punched a lace edge on the top fold of mine.
2. The card shape made with a spine wide enough to cover the depth of the pages. Again I punched the lace edge back and front.
3. Glue the folded square to the back page of the card shape, lining up the spine and decorate!

To close my book card I added some distressed seam binding as well as some linen threaded hearts.

I have to tell you I was inspired to make my book card by seeing this beautiful one made by Tina. Check out the link if you want to try one for yourself.

My second card uses an illustration Cheryl very kindly donated to Jak Heath's apeal for Katie Renz.

How cute is this l'il dude setting of for a spot of fishing...... I've dressed him in green with some DP from  Basic Grey's origins paper pad.   The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps.   Click on the link to find out how you can help Katie and her family. Thanks.

Thanks for calling past today and thanks again Cheryl.

See you soon.
