Helloooooo!
We're enjoying a beautiful Autumn day here in Sydney with plenty of sunshine! Just thought I'd share a quick card I made last night ready for Mother's Day...........To the British readers of my blog.......we celebrate on a different day......so my Mum in the UK has two........and why not as the mother of 8 she deserves it!
Now I'll confess..........I had some pink petals already die cut so this card was super quick. Just a case of shaping the rose and choosing a background.
Papers from Echo Park Style Essentials. The top one is a very soft pink which sits beneath the edge of my ric rac border. I used MFT Jumbo ric rac die to cut this edge by positioning the card over half of the die only. Spellbinders Rose Creations and Foliage dies were used for the flower.
I thought I'd share a picture of my craft room as of last night :)
44 boxes (Some of them quite small though!!) Thank goodness for a friend who works at the local hospital.........these recycled boxes have saved us a fortune!
These shelves held all my stamp folders so what's left are the ones I'll transport! The chest of drawers was full of card, paper pads and ribbons ......fancy having to empty all that.....yuk!
Behind that curtain are four plastic tubs full of fabric, a sewing machine an embroidery machine and an over locker!!!!!! Aghhhhh just starting to worry about where it's all going to go when we get to the new place!
Such a pretty card Sue. Love that beautiful rose you have created. I don't envy you and your packing...but it is a good way to stocktake and no doubt find some hidden treasures that you had forgotten about! Good luck.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card for you mum Sue, and yes, with 8 children, I'd say she deserves at least 2 mothers days!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your move, and unpacking all your craft stuff!
Looks like lots of packing going on here! Good luck with your move!

Goodness me, with 8 children, I think your mum deserves more than one Mother's Day! I hope your crafting area is as lovely in your new place. 44 boxes of treasure... how wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLovely card! Your rose is magnificent! I know all to well what a chore it is to pack up a craft room! When is the big move?
ReplyDeleteThe rose on your card is quite the stunner!! Just think of all the crafty goodness tucked away in those boxes -- glad you saved some out to play with in the meantime!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card for your beautiful Mom Sue. Actually, she deserves 8 Mother's Days....LOL
ReplyDeleteDidn't know you were moving and I do NOT envy you one bit. Bet you found things you had buried and can't wait to use once you get settled. Good luck with the move and send me your address once you get there. "Hugs"
sorry it has took me so long to drop by to comment, super busy weekend, I love your card, so many boxes, wow what a craft room you had!
ReplyDeleteHi Sue,
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful. I really like the way you used the die to create the border. The pink and brown are so pretty together. The rose is gorgeous and I'm sure your Mum will love this card. I remember doing all that packing not so long ago. So much work!
This is the most beautiful card Sue, your mother will adore it! There's that fabulous ric rac border again too! So amazing to see all those boxes (recognized those fluid boxes straight away, we all use them!)... we moved last year to our neighbours house, so my hubby didn't really get to see just how much stuff I have... Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteLovely card Sue, I just LOVE the design on the DP. I don't envy your packing, it looks a lot more organised than my little move from the spare room to the converted garage! Hope it all goes smoothly though. Thanks for all you lovely comments on Uniko Studio blog, they are very much appreciated! Hugs Bev xx
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Sue .... Your mum is lucky! Lol at your craft room, I'd be so sad. Not long now and it will all be in a new home.
