AnnaBelle Sketch Time

It's sketch time at AnnaBelle Stamps, with the Belle's using various Silhouette sets for our projects. Hope you can join us again this week.

Here's the prize for one lucky person:

I've flipped the sketch to make a gift pouch which measures 3.75" x 4.5". AnnaBelle's gingham from BBD 7 decorates the smooth white card and Squared Mother's Day  provides the focal point.
Inside the pouch fits a little 3.5" x 4"card, made to hold a gift voucher.

I followed Marion's video tutorial at Stamp Embellish Create to mask and sponge the centre of the card and stamped one of the many silhouettes from Garden Silhouettes  as the main image.

To play along link your card at the AnnaBelle Stamps blog or add it to the gallery at S E C adding the tag ac053.

Have you visited the NEW LOOK  AnnaBelle Stamps Store? Andrea has been very busy re-designing things over there........Go take a look!

Thank you cards and a Healing Heart!

Hello.

Just wanted to share a card today before I  leave to join the local quilters group.  Still nothing too exciting to share in the sewing line.....I'm working up to starting a quilt I've had around for a while.  Still need to get a couple of them machine quilted too, so perhaps I should organise that first :)
I did make up a Healing Heart block for one of our members so I'll share that for now.

Hot pinks and purples were the colour preferences so I dug into my stash, (yep I have a material stash too) and found some fabrics I thought would do the trick.  A crazy heart from me, foundation pieced. (Which means, for non quilters, the design is drawn to a 6.5" square of foundation fabric and the separate pieces of fabric are sewn over the design in a set order. So stitch and flip!

OK now the card today is a Thank you card for the hospital staff who looked after my Mum. Two weeks ago she had a fall in her garden which resulted in two breaks to her ankle.  She's home now and trying to get used to a walking frame.

AnnaBelle Stamps beautiful Whimsy Flowers was the image I chose, stamped to water colouring card,  I coloured it with Prisma pencils and Zest It. The script is from SU and the scalloped lace was made using a SU border punch. Once the border was punched I snipped into the card after every scallop to allow me to bend and shape the lace around the die cut circle.  I've seen this done by others and never tried it, but it's sooo easy!!!  The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse and that pretty dp is Prima.  Have I missed anything......oh yes pink ribbon from AnnaBelle Stamps :)

OK have to run, back tomorrow with this weeks AnnaBelle Stamps challenge hope you'll join us.

Til then.............

Uniko - Bright Butterflies

Hi Bloggers,

Thanks for calling past today........ I promised  a link and some information about a little challenge so here it is.

I have some wonderful stamps from a UK stamp company called Uniko Studio but because it's been a bit of a 'mad house' around here I haven't been able to play with them very much, I will very soon now (I hope).

Beverley the designer and owner shares beautiful cards just about every day over on her blog and this Saturday she introduced her Super Free Saturday.  You can read all about it here. In short, she is offering a free digital download of some beautiful paper/images and asking that we use them and link back our makes to her blog.

This month's freebies are Bright Butterflies and they are soooooo pretty!  I downloaded my copy late Saturday and couldn't wait to play. I played with the three background papers and printed just one A4 sheet plus one sheet using the combined images.  This made both my cards with some left overs that I can use again :)

Didn't I say they were pretty!! and Beverley's colours match SU card too, though everything you see here is from the download (apart from the twine and yellow butterflies :))

My first card uses one of the background papers as well as elements from the combined sheet......Love these little tags.

For my second card I played at adding strips of each paper design before printing, so you can see each of the lovely files here.

I hope you'll call over to Uniko and play along. The more the merrier :)  Thanks Beverley these, like your other products are fabulous!

The Roses August Challenge

Hello........How's your week end been so far?  I hope you're enjoying the same sunshine we've had off late.

This being the last Sunday of the month means it's time for The Roses Challenge and this month it was my turn to pick a theme.  I chose a photo inspirational challenge for a change and I'm looking forward to seeing what the girls have done with it.

I saw Poppies when I looked at this and the clear dark lines, so here's my card.....

I used Distress inks to colour some watercolour card before stamping Penny Black's -  Poppy Poem.
Some light colouring using Prisma pencils and Zest-It blending solution before the stitched ribbon was added. The completed image was adhered to black card and a white card base.

I hope you'll go check in with the Roses (all links are under the Roses tab at the top of my page) to see what they came up with this month.  I might be a few hours ahead of them though :).

Thanks for calling past today, I'm back tomorrow with a great link for you and a fabulous challenge......Hope you'll call back.

Til then.............

For You!

I love this little image from Penny Black Slapstick Stamps, I think it's his pose, tummy out and chin down........just so sweet!  My stamp came from Scrapbook Boutique if you're interested!

I used Prisma pencils to colour him and added some punched and die cut flowers as well as a little die cut doily.

Things should be more settled here at the 'blue house' with the renovation work completed (for the time being at least!!).  It's been quite stressful this time around, or is that just an age thing.....not sure!! Anyhow, we're done, now it's time to add some finishing touches......my favourite bit!!!

Thanks for calling past today, til next time...........

Our Hop starts and ends at the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog. If you came here from Andrea's blog you're on the right track, when you leave me you move on and visit with Kylie.
