The Roses - Iris Piercing

Hi Bloggers..........how goes your weekend?

We're thrilled to have Walshies sister and her husband over from the UK at the moment so it's all go at the Blue House!! Add to that the Boss and I are celebrating another year of married bliss today......well most of the time it is anyway lol.   I did get a bit ahead last week as I knew there were a few posts I couldn't miss :)

Last Sunday of the month and it's time for 'The Roses' challenge.  Kym set the challenge this month and as her cards are usually amazing and full of detail I knew she would come up with a great one.

IRIS PIECING

Ooooh now I've seen this technique used with fabric on cards but have never tried it myself, so was looking forward to it.   I've played it safe and gone for an easy design, which one of the girls at the quilting group gave me  before I even knew what the challenge would be........spooky!!!

Here's my card

I've used various pieces of Christmas dp and have to say this is a great way to use up scraps!!!  The only trouble is it makes for quite a thick layer so mine was popped up on foam.

I really enjoyed this one Kym and think if I have some time, I might just try some more complicated designs........there are loads on the Internet with some digital papers you can download too.

Now all you have to do is check in with the girls and see how they went with Kym's challenge. I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did.  The links are under the The Roses TAB at the top of my page.

Catch you later...........

SBB - Flying By

Morning Bloggers.......

My turn to share a little card made with products from the fabulous on line store Scrapbook Boutique.

As soon as I saw this gorgeous little clear stamp set from We R Memory Keepers, I had to have it!
I have a bit of a history with aviation and though the first time I flew I had to be dragged on board after that first flight I was hooked!  Not sure I'd be too keen to fly in this one but it's a fun stamp that could be used for all kinds of cards and scrapbook pages.

The clouds are Die-namics flat bottom cloud dies and the red/white strips are some awesome Washi tape also from We R Memory Keepers.  Evelyn has the full details for this card on the Scrapbook Boutique Blog today.

Thanks for calling past.........see you soon,

Anyone For Golf?.....Sassy Cheryl's Boy Golfer

Hi Blogger's,

I've been playing catch up, stamping and colouring a few images to have some cards in hand.......trouble is as soon as I have them coloured I have to complete the card :) I posted 3 to the blog yesterday........ yes I know.... about time I got back on track.  I should say a huge thank you to those who check in regularly despite the fact that my posts have been a bit erratic! I'm so grateful to my regular followers for all the lovely comments you leave me.

It's been way too long since I coloured one of Cheryl's gorgeous images so I picked up a couple of golfers......I think they might come in handy!  It just so happens this weeks challenge #133 at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog is all about die cuts and I think AnnaBelle's new Borders 1 die is perfect for a male card........See what you think!  I did a better job of photographing this one you can actually see the embossing details on this super die!

I've coloured with Prisma's and Zest it blending solution.  The base card is one of AnnaBelle's pre- formed cards 5.5" square. The plain card is SU and the striped dp is from Kaisercraft Blae & Ivy.
I added a corner die from Cuttlebug for good measure............I love how this one turned out!

Thanks for popping in, see you soon..........

Fall Fun (for some)

Scroll down for AnnaBelle's Friday Challenge.

Hi Bloggers,

Here's a second project using AnnaBelle's new Cuts By Design Border 1 die which 'fits the bill' for some challenges this week.

Simon Says  EMBOSS IT, heat set or dry.

CAS-ual Friday #71 Fall Fun

Really Reasonable Ribbons - Chllenge #56 Autumn Colours and Ribbons

This new die cuts and adds some embossing, today I cut from black card and popped it up on foam dots after a wrapping of AnnaBelle's fine hemp cord threaded through a button.
I've dry embossed a couple of lines above the border before adding the sentiment. The poppies are from a Memory Box die (Prim Poppies) which were embossed using a Swiss dots embossing folder.

That's it today, I have some catching up to do so better get to it :)

AnnaBelle Stamps - Say It In Pinks and White

Time for this week's challenge at AnnaBelle's.  We're thinking Kylie will be in her element as it calls for her favorite, Pinks........No brown though Kylie!!!!!

Add your project to the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog, you could be the winner of a shopping voucher for the store.

The girls are all using one of the 'Lil Belles' sets for this weeks project and I couldn't decide which one so have used three!  Lil Molly's Flower (without the flowers on the right), Michelle with Teddy and the flowers from Lil Michelle swinging by.  All coloured with Prisma pencils, and some atyou Spica in pink to add a little sparkle to Michelle's top.   Raspberry Sprinkles add the bling this week.
For the curved sentiment, which is from Wimsey Flowers and the corner detail I used AnnaBelle's Cuts By Design Shapes 1.

Call in and check the fabulous creations from the Belles this week.........Links under the DT tab at the top of my page.
