Hello all,

Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends, I hope you enjoy a day spent with your family and close friends.

It's wet and miserable here in Sydney.......thank goodness for some craft space to  sit and play! Are you ready for the AnnaBelle Sketch Challenge ? Hope you can play along again this week.

Here's my card which closely follows Andrea's sketch.
I've featured a sentiment from one of last years seasonal sets  Christmas Wish. UsingVersaColor bronze ink and stamping to the DP which is from KaiserCraft 'Tis The Season' 6x6 collection.
I also stamped the music score from BBD #6 in dessert sand above and below the 'stamped' ribbon.

I've used ABS Kraft for my card so added an envelope to match.

Don't forget to check out the girls cards. All links, including our November guest designer Sue can be found under the DT tab at the top of my page.

Scrapbook Boutique - Happiness

Hello.......I'm posting a card for Scrapbook Boutique today.  This card uses stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations. Check out the paper lace.........it's just a section of what would have to be the most luscious lace die around at the moment. I've made cards with this lace scored and fanned as here......it's just so pretty!

Using a paper crimper to add some dimension to the larger leaves adds a bit of interest too.

Don't forget the challenge running at Scrapbook Boutique ........... the winner gets to shop at the on-line store. Evelyn has new stock arriving all the time, so there's always something new to see.

Product List

Stamps:          Heartfelt Creations – Bella Rose Scroll - Sentiment

Paper:             SBB - Smooth White and Olive. DSP – My Minds Eye Lost  & Found – Market Street.

Ink:                 Memento tuxedo black. Rangers Distress Ink – tea dye.

Accessories:    Heartfelt Creations – Decorative Lace Border Die  and Posy Patch Dies.

Method:
1.     Trim, score and fold Smooth white card to make a 5” square card.
2.     Add check dsp to card front, making it 1/8” smaller.
3.     Stamp sentiment, with the aid of the stamp-a-ma-jig, in tuxedo black ink.
4.     From smooth white card die cut the Shabby Lace. For my card I cut away sections to make an open loop to one side and 1” from the other side to give me an overall width of 2.5 inches. Sponge the edges with tea dye distress ink and adhere to card front with Zip Dry glue.
5.     From Olive card die cut 3 leaves and run these through a paper crimper to add some dimension.
6.     Punch out 10 'branch # 2' leaves embossing these with the Swiss dots e.f.
7.     Die cut three sets of three layer Posy Patch flowers from DSP and emboss these with the Swiss dots e.f.
8.     Shape and assemble the posy patch flowers adding an adhesive pearl to the centre of each.
9.     Arrange the larger leaves over the shabby lace. Next add the three Posy Patch flowers and the 'branch # 2' leaves. I use Art Glitter dries clear for all these it holds really well.
10.  To complete the spray using a hole punch, punch out some circles (7 on my card). Using an embossing tool push into the centre of each to form a small cup. Add these to the arrangement as before. Add a dot to the centre of each with a clear glitter pen.

AnnaBelle Stamps - Say It With Buttons and Bows

Friday's challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps is to 'Say It With Buttons and Bows'.
I thought I'd have a change from Christmas Cards and make a blue Birthday card this week.
Stamping the flower stems from ABS Stemmed Flowers and a Birthday sentiment from Squared Posies.
ABS wide striped ribbon ties scrumptious bows that make a card a bit special I think!
I used Helmars Scrap Dots to adhere the bow to the front of my card and it worked so well no foam, no glue gun gunk.......love it!

Drop by the Belles blogs to see some amazing creations all the links are under the Design Team tab at the top of my page.  Hope you can play along with us again this week, we love seeing all your cards.

and you could be the winner of a $30 gift voucher for Scrapbook Boutique.
(Link your project on the SB Blog before 30/11/11)

I've a little Christmas gift set to share today, not too much stamping on this more die cutting and manipulating paper...... The card is pretty straight forward and this little round gift box stands just 2 inches tall.

Dots and spots.....Swiss dots embossed on my card and pretty die cut ribbon and punched spots on the gift box.

The Merry Christmas sentiment is from a Heartfelt Creations set called 'Holiday Poinsettia Candle'

Product List

Stamps:          Heartfelt Creations – Holiday Poinsettia Candle.

Paper:             SBB: smooth white, powder blue, crimson and mint.

Ink:                 Memento tuxedo black. Rhubarb Stalk and Pear Tart.

Rangers: Star Dust Stickles. Cotton twine.  Beacon Zip Dry glue. Art Glitter dries clear adhesive3D Foam squares. Hole punch. ScorPal.

For those who like to know how we put things together here are the instructions....sorry they are a bit long winded hope you can follow them!

Instructions: - Card:
1.     Trim, score and fold smooth white card to make a 5.5” x 4.25” top fold card.
2.     Trim powder blue card to 1/8” smaller and emboss with Swiss dots e.f. Adhere to card base.
3.     Trim smooth white card to 1.75” x 4.5”.
4.     Die cut and emboss off the left edge of the card using the 2nd size (with the 1st being the smallest) die.
5.     Stamp Merry Christmas from the HC set in tuxedo black. Wrap some cotton twine around the strip of white card and finish with a bow.
6.     Using foam squares add this section to the card front.
7.     From Crimson card and using the 1st (smallest) die, die cut and emboss two sets of poinsettia petals.  Whilst still in the die sponge with rhubarb stalk ink.
8.     Using dries clear adhesive, assemble the poinsettia, adding three adhesive pearls to the centre and some Stickles to the top layer of petals.
9.     Add a spot of dries clear adhesive to the back of the poinsettia to attach within the die cut shape on the white card to complete.
Round Box.
1.     The box is made with a 2.5” x 9” length of smooth white card.  Score at .5” and snip inverted V shapes along the length to enable you to form a smooth circle or tube.
2.     Using the Spellbinder small circle dies and the 3rd largest die cut and emboss 3 smooth white circles. (2 for the lid and 1 for the base).
3.     Loosely form a tube from the 9” strip, with the inverted V tabs sitting flat on your work surface.  Push one die cut circle to the base of your tube and alter the tube to fit nice and tight around the circle. Once you have this tight mark and trim the 9” length if needed and adhere with Zip dry to assemble your box.
4.     Using the 3rd largest scalloped die from the large die set cut 2 Crimson scalloped circles.
5.     Adhere one Crimson scalloped die to the base of your round box.
6.     Decorate the box by die cutting from powder blue card the edge only with Insert A from Spellbinders Classic Petal set. By positioning the die carefully you can use the negative cut to decorate the lid.

7.     The lid is made in the same way from a 1” strip of white card with .25” inverted V’s cut. Before adhering the sides of the tube make sure the lid fits over the base of your box. Add the powder blue negative cut and using a hole punch. Punch some circles from scraps of the crimson, powder blue and mint card to add between the scallops. Adding the 2nd Crimson scalloped circle to the top of the lid.
8.      Over the top of the Crimson scalloped card add the third white circle.
9.     Die cut, emboss and sponge 1 of the 1st size and 2 of the 2nd size poinsettia petals. Assemble the flower adding three adhesive pearls to the centre and some Stickles.
10.  From mint card die cut, emboss and ink using pear tart ink three leaves. Trim them so they just show beneath the poinsettia petals and adhere to white circle.
11. Add the layered poinsettia using a foam square to pop it up.
12. Tie a double loop bow in some cotton twine and using dries clear adhesive add this to the box lid.

Thanks so much for hopping along with us today, looking forward to seeing all your creations linked over at the store Blog..............
