Hi Bloggers..........how goes your weekend?
We're thrilled to have Walshies sister and her husband over from the UK at the moment so it's all go at the Blue House!! Add to that the Boss and I are celebrating another year of married bliss today......well most of the time it is anyway lol. I did get a bit ahead last week as I knew there were a few posts I couldn't miss :)
Last Sunday of the month and it's time for 'The Roses' challenge. Kym set the challenge this month and as her cards are usually amazing and full of detail I knew she would come up with a great one.
Ooooh now I've seen this technique used with fabric on cards but have never tried it myself, so was looking forward to it. I've played it safe and gone for an easy design, which one of the girls at the quilting group gave me before I even knew what the challenge would be........spooky!!!
Here's my card
I've used various pieces of Christmas dp and have to say this is a great way to use up scraps!!! The only trouble is it makes for quite a thick layer so mine was popped up on foam.
I really enjoyed this one Kym and think if I have some time, I might just try some more complicated designs........there are loads on the Internet with some digital papers you can download too.
Now all you have to do is check in with the girls and see how they went with Kym's challenge. I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did. The links are under the The Roses TAB at the top of my page.
Catch you later...........

Well, you just did an excellent job with this technique! Is that a little child peeking through the branches trying to get a look at Santa Claus? I too did some simple patterns. Even though it's not Sunday yet here in Mexico, I'm going to go ahead and post too!
Love your Iris Folded Christmas tress, lovely papers too.
