Hello,
I know it's been a while, life has been pretty hectic here, a fully retired husband at home 24/7 certainly makes a difference. I'm not complaining....no, no, no, every day is an adventure! We've managed a few road trips and even when we stay 'local' there's always time to go for a coffee, or a walk around our favourite bay with lunch sitting overlooking the view. Life is good!
As far as making cards........I've really only made those I'm committed to make, which means very few posts here on my card blog. Gone are the days of posting every day!
I do however, have one to share today. The daughter of a girl friend in Sydney was married during March and her Mum asked me to make her a card.
The hardest part of making a card like this for someone else to give, is deciding on the sentiment for the inside. Sometimes a stamped sentiment just isn't enough.
Here's what I do: Search on line, pick three sentiments, one quite plain, one a little more 'involved' and the third......well I'd say more 'flowery'. Print them all individually and arrange to the correct size adding any extra decoration etc. then let the person decide which one they want to use.
Thanks so much for dropping by, I'll be back before too long.............

The wedding had a silver/black theme so I went with a silver striped DP over a black mat and pearls.
I've had this LOTV image for so long and never used it. It's just so sweet, I really enjoyed colouring with the softest Copic colours.
The lovely sentiment is from AnnaBelle Stamps Wedding set and was embossed with silver EP.
Because of the roses this card needed a box so I used the same striped/black mat for the lid with some organza ribbon and a flower.

Sounds like you and Walshie are having a ball!!! Gorgeous card and I know what you mean about how it's hard to make something so special for others, but you did awesome! xx
Love Love all of it Sue!! The DSP,pearls doiley...all of it beautiful! Did you make the lovely little roses on the LHS too? If you did ...could you come out of "retirement" and tell us how you made them? I bet your friend and her daughter loved this beauty!
Sorry Robyn, you come up as a non reply blogger so I can only leave an answer to your question here!
The roses you admire on my card are actually ones I bought from Spotlight!!! Pretty though ah!
This is really a sweet wedding card Sue. And I simply love the matching box. What a special and memorable wedding card. Sounnds like you and your hubby are enjoying yourselves. Good on you :)
Glad you and the MR. are having some relaxing time. Every day is precious, and you must enjoy each and every one! The wedding card is gorgeous! Great idea on the sentiments. You can use double sided tape on each, and just leave the backing until they decide. How brilliant!
Glad to hear life if full and of course fun! Your card is amazing Sue, especially with it's own box envelope and the choice of sentiments is genius!! Hope you are having a great week!
What a beautiful card. Great idea to make a box to give it in (now I have a punch board I'll try and remember that one!).
Glad to hear you are having so much fun - enjoy! :)
Nice to catch up on what you've been up to & it sounds like you are making lots of cherished memories with Walshie. Glad all is well. Hugs from the UK :) Bev x
Sounds like you are really enjoying having Walshie at home - which is as it should be!
Love the card you made for your friend. The image is adorable and so beautifully coloured. I really like the doily and roses too, and the box finishes it all off! I do like the idea of putting in different sentiments (must borrow that one). Take care x
