Sentimental Bluebells - FF019

It's Feature Friday at AnnaBelle Stamps and this week we're featuring 

Sentimental Bluebells.

I remember going into the countryside picking arms full of these beautiful flowers when I was young....

Such a shame really, as they  look perfect in a woodland setting and last much longer :).

For my card I've made a get well soon message to send to a friend adding some pretty dp as well as ABS satin ribbon and a Waterfall Sprinkle. The Bluebells were coloured using Copic Markers.

Purple, Orange and Black...could only mean Halloween! SBB Blog Hop & Insp. Challenge

Today's card is for the Scrapbook Boutique  Blog Hop and Inspirational Challenge for October.

My card features layers of white card over black with a dash of orange. 

• The base card is purple as are the die cut stars.  
• A Copic marker coloured the white seam binding to match the orange perfectly and this is tied to a knot over the left side.  
• Double cutting the large star gave me the open centre and I also cut two of the smallest stars from MFT Die-namics Star Stax.  
• Another Die-namics die was used to cut the letters.  
• The very superior looking cats are from  a clear set by Stanpendous called French Flower Cart. 
•  These too were coloured with Copic markers.

Birthday Blooms .....

Just a quick post today, the boss is due in any moment after a couple of days away..... he'll be starrrrving!!!! Good job I've got his favourite meal all ready to go.

I've made a card for this week's CASology challenge # 65 CRISP.  The sponsor is Uniko Studio Stamps so Ive used a couple of their lovely sets, Flower Power #2 with a leaf from Natures Treasures 1,

Masking, sponging, colouring and cutting and the jobs done. This card will be in the mail tomorrow, first thing.......not that I don't have 'a few' sitting around.........but this one should cheer up the Birthday girl!

Cherry Blossom - AC172

This is my second post today, scroll down for Uniko Studio Washi..........:)

It's time for AnnaBelle's Monthly sketch challenge for October.  Join in for your chance to win a shopping credit for the ABS store.

I've flipped the sketch and used AnnaBelle's Clear set, Cherry Blossom for todays card. Such a pretty image to colour with Copic markers.  Some silver Sprinkles either side of the sentiment to add some bling.

I also used my spray inks and a mask to create the background for this card.  I wish you could see the pretty sparkle these inks add to the background :)

Uniko Studio Stamps - Washi

I'm tickled pink to be posting for one of my favourite stamp companies today.  Here's the story:

I entered a card in the Uniko Studio Stamps Challenge and was lucky enough to have that card chosen for a gift voucher along with this guest spot....woohoo  thank you Beverley  :) 

I  have lots of Uniko Studio stamps, though as I type  this post I don't have the lovely Wonderful Washi sets.  Never mind, I've chosen one of the Background Builders, 'Round in Circles' to make my own Washi.  

• The hand stamped Washi has been adhered to red card stock leaving the last inch clear. 
• I've stamped a butterfly from Bright Butterflies and, using the matching die cut the image out. 
• Cutting a second image from Velum with some Star Dust Stickles added to the tops of the wings for shine.
• Four red gems added for the body.  
• The sentiment comes from Pure Florals 'Chrysanthemum'.

• For my second card the Washi has been adhered direct to the white base card.
• I stamped and cut by hand  Beautiful Blooms #1. 
• Added some Star Dust Stickles before popping it up over the Washi using foam tabs.
• The  same sentiment from Pure Florals 'Chrysanthemum' is stamped at the bottom right.

Hey Bloggers.......

The boss and I clocked up 35 years of wedded bliss this week........He says he can't remember breaking that many mirrors ....huh.... I say I deserve a medal......but I wouldn't swap him!

We took a picture to add to our 'photo year'.......even though I still look all eyes from the flu! 

Happy Days.........exciting days ahead with retirement getting ever closer.  Bring it on!!!

Washi For You

Thanks so much for all the 'get well' wishes . I'm pleased to say I can now venture out without a box of tissues :).  Still  coughing  but that's improving every day as are my energy levels.  I think we desperately need some rain to wash away all the bugs and freshen the air!  Maybe this week end....it's a long one here in NSW oh and our clocks change too I believe.  SUMMERTIME !!

I've been trying to catch up on a few DT cards and even had time to make a card for the Uniko Studio Challenge # 3. The theme this month is Washi, so I've made some, using the Lattice Background builder.

• I've sprayed LSG Starburst sprays in 'Jack in the Pulpit Teal' and 'TiffanyLou Blue' to create the background piece.  
• The 'Washi' was stamped in Memento Teal Zeal and VersaColor Turquoise. Trimmed to size with the edges distressed.
• The Sentiment is from US Label Love BIRTHDAY.
