I've been busy making 'projects' ready for the Annabelle Stamps September release, which start on the 15th. I can't share yet and I didn't have anything to post......then I saw the challenge on Susan's blog..... perfect a CAS card. OLW # 19 is to make a one layer card with just a touch of colour.
For my card I've taken a couple of images from Waltzingmouse Stamps Asian Gardens and the sentiment is from the Asian Gardens Additions. I had to make a mask for the bird by stamping onto a post it note and cutting around the tiny bird. Once the image was stamped to the card I used a Copic marker to colour the remaining space, which was the bird shape. To complete my card I rounded opposite corners.

Oh I like this Sue. The patience you must have to cut out that tiny little bird! The simplicity of this design makes for a very striking card.

Sue , this would have to be the first card that I have ever been , at first glance , unsure wether or not I liked it . Then I came back to look again . It is a striking card . It seemed to me to convey a forlorn feeling and then it dawned on me ! The sentiment and your images set very well with each other . So I have decided that I really do like the card , because of that simple ,yet powerful sentiment and image . Well done .
