Sunday Stamping!!!

Hello Bloggers,

I've a couple of things to post today and I'm keeping it short and sweet.  I was lucky enough to take part in Joan's  JustRite challenge blog hop  this week. If you haven't been over to take part you should there are some wonderful prizes on offer from JustRite Stamps as well as two prize packages from Joan.

I made a second card for the challenge using the 2.25 inch oval stamp set 'Thinking Of You'.

The sentiment was embossed using VersaMark and American Crafts Copper embossing powder. Rangers Tea Dye Distress ink was used to sponge around the sentiment.  The are four layers to the oval sentiment with the last two popped up on foam tabs.  The DP is from KaiserCraft  Up, Up And Away Collection 6 x 6 paper pad and the light brown mat  is from American Craft.  This beautiful ribbon is from Vandoros, (thanks Kerrie I love my B'day gift).

Look who turned up whilst I was photographing the card!  He/she wasn't impressed with my card....... really only wanted some food and  by the time I was done with the camera three more joined us!

I did make one more quick project with the JustRite set Joan sent me and I'll share it ....... though I have to say I plan to change the picture just haven't got round to having one printed off yet so my long suffering hubby got picked again!!!

For this I used the Chrysanthemum image from 'Mother Natures Gifts' by JustRite stamps.

I've stamped the lemon mat with the image in SU so saffron.  Stamped three more images and cut them out, one of these was layered and both have gold and pearl brads for the centre.

The pretty DP is from Fairy Flora by Prima, with the centre cut away using a Spellbinder die . This sits over a chocolate layer of American Craft Card and the top is left clear to slip my photo into position.

I'm entering my card into the challenge and hope you'll join in too, click the link above and it will take you to Joan's.

Hope you're enjoying your week end, thanks for dropping by..............

EDIT:

The bird in my photo is a Kookaburra!

Gorgeous card Sue, so much detail to look at, and now I can see how you get no lines in the background of your photographs :)
Can you put me out of my misery and tell me what bird that is?

Your card is so soft and gentle. I love the colours and the design.
What a great photo with the bird! Too cute. We feed birds in our back yard and although they will tackle DH when he feeds them they don't seem to hang around long enough for great pics.
Very nice photo mat in your frame. I like the colours.
Thank you for sharing! :)

I don't know which I love the most...your projects or the picture of the bird. Aren't you lucky to have him land right by you. I showed him to Rick and he loved seeing it. Your card is gorgeous. Love those papers and your bow is superb! Love your frame...need to put that in my CASE file for sometime in the future, if you won't mind. Tfs and have a wonderful rest of your weekend.
