Hiya,
I didn't want you to think I'm being lazy not posting to my blog.....I've been beavering away here honest! I'm up to date with my DT cards, you'll see them soon. I've completed the piecing for my Teddy quilt and just need to sort out the backing fabric....I have the batting ready. That makes three I have in need of quilting, so I'll share some pictures of the other two when they're done. A couple of the ladies from the Patchwork group have the long arm quilting machines so I'll add mine to their list I think.
On Thursday I join another group of sewers just along the freeway from here. More quilting but with embroidery added so that should be fun.....I'll share as soon as I have something :) It's great to be working down my fabric stash too.....less to find a permanent home for :)
Whilst I wait for the builder to start renovating the bathrooms, I've been sorting through my stash!!! Yep, I know I should have done that before the move... but back then I couldn't part with anything. Now I'm so fed up looking for stuff, I need to sort out get rid of all those bits I keep just in case. I still can't find my box of glitters, which makes me think it must be with other craft items...... and I thought I'd unpacked everything but books and magazines! So much for my lists.....
I do have a little card to share today.......it's not all waffle!!!!!
I walked up to town yesterday and had a browse around the Department Store. I love it, it's small but they have some nice bits and pieces. The kinds of things you don't see in the BIG stores, I have to be good.... it would be so easy to bring home all kinds!!!
Yesterday I saw a black box frame and in the centre of the frame was a plate size doily with two little blackbirds sitting on wire......so cute and quite fashionable I think! My garage wall (don't laugh) has a few black decals of birdcages with birds.......cute ah! Anyway I thought it would make a nice card so here it is......

..........inspiration can be found everywhere......right? The little birds are from the latest AnnaBelle Stamps set - A Beautiful Day.
We've been here just about 3 months now and I've finally taken the plunge and made an appointment for a hair cut..............I wouldn't say I've been putting it off (much!!!). Tomorrow's the day! I'm nervous...... How lame do I sound......it grows quickly and I might just have the ends trimmed LOL!
I have a post for Scrapbook Boutique tomorrow, hope you'll call past for that.
Till then...........

Inspiration sure can be found everywhere! This is really cute! Good luck getting your hair cut!
I know EXACTLY how you feel about the haircut Sue! I used to travel back all the way to Ballarat to visit my daughter.....and to have my hair cut with a hairdresser who I knew and trusted. Never have found one here that I feel the same about! I love the "wire" for your sweet little birds- that clever idea is in my faves!
Oh so beautiful cards =) Love your design in your blogg. =) Have a great day. hugs
This is really so sweet Sue! So clever to use the doily! Good luck with the hair cute!
Hi Sue, doesn't sound like you have been lazy at all. I admire your sewing skills, wish I had learned to do that but then that would be one more hobby...can't wait to see your quilts. Love this card and the way it was inspired, funny how something we see something and it clicks. Hope your hair cut goes well!
hugs...
This is just adorable! Love the country flair! Hope your haircut goes well(0=
Simple is sweet ... that card is super sweet. And yep, certainly would look good in a nice rubbed back white frame, hung on the wall!
Hope the haircut wasn't a shambles. I love my hairdresser and if she ever moves, I will hunt her down and stalk her. Nothing worse than having to find (and trust) a new hairdresser!
xx M
Hope your haircut was all you were hoping for, are you sharing a photo for us??
I so need a clean out too, it so good for the mind and soul!
