Two more for Heartfelt Creations.

How are you all? Ready for the week end I guess..........Hope you have some decent weather over your way!!!!  We're in the middle of a wet spell here in Sydney flooding all around so your's truly is sitting in her room refusing to move very far :)  The boss and I went grocery shopping yesterday we're stocked up so no need to move too far from home............Oh .... roll on summer I say and if you hear me complain about being too hot please remind me about this post :):)

OK as promised I have two little projects from this weeks Heartfelt Creations post to share. One simple bookmark... and if you purchase the new 'Tropical Flourish Swirls' set you'll see that the large image was perfect for a bookmark or tag.  Here's mine a quick easy project that could also be added to the front of a card see what you think....

I just wanted to colour these blossoms so no extra layers, it's really pretty enough as it is don't you think?
I coloured this with Copic markers and added pearls to the flower centres.  Once again I followed Becca's tutorial for using a border punch to create a frame. You'll find the link for her tutorial under the tab at the top of my page.

Now my second project is a bit more involved.....I wanted to try a vintage looking Tag. I don't make many tags because I rarely use them but I enjoyed the process with this one. You might have to click on the image to see it in a little more detail........

Here are the details:

3 x 6.25 inches

HC Products:               HCPC 3408 Woodland Fern PreCut Set
HCPC 3406 Botanical Floral 1 PreCut Set
HCPC 3320 Vintage Word Background PreCutSet
HCPC 3309 Faith Heb.11:1 PreCut Set
                                    Spellbinder Rose Creations Die
                                    Spellbinder Shapeabilities Foliage Die

Other products:         2 Manilla Labels. Basic Grey - Cappella dsp. DCWV – Mariposa Matstack (for the cut out butterfly). Rangers Distress Inks in Frayed Burlap, Tea Die and Antique Linen.  VersaMark with copper embossing powder.
SU Spiral Border Punch. AnnaBelle’s Sultana Sprinkles. Metal spacer. Brown twisted cord, brown leather cord, jute and jute tape. Sewing machine and thread. Dries Clear adhesive.

Instructions:
1.     Stamp the fern from HCPC 3408 in antique linen to one label.  Stamp the top of the label with HCPC 3320 and tea die. Sponge the label with a mixture of all 3 distress inks.
2.     Distress the edges of the label before embossing with copper embossing powder.
3.     Tear a piece of Cappella dsp. Punch one edge with the Spiral border punch and sponge with Tea Die ink.  Machine stitch this piece to the label.
4.     Adhere a strip of jute tape over the dsp.
5.     Using antique linen ink stamp the sentiment from HCPC 3309 to the 2nd manila label. Trim the label to make a 3 x 2.75 “ mini label. Sponge the edges as before punching the bottom edge with the spiral border punch.
6.     Stamp one of the ferns from HCPC 3408 to a scrap of pale dsp with tea die ink. Using the Spellbinder Foliage die cut this out and adhere over the jute tape with the top overlapping and holding the mini label in place.
7.     Stamp 3 layers from HCPC 3406 to dsp using tea die ink. Using the matching dies cut the petals out. Shape and layer using Dries Clear adhesive. Set the centre with the metal spacer and Sprinkle.  Emboss the outer petals with VersaMark and copper embossing powder.
8.     Form 2 loops from the leather cord and tape the bottom to hold. Adhere the loops to the tag front before adding the completed flower.
9.     Trim a butterfly from the Mariposa dsp and adhere to the tag.
10. Thread the brown twisted cord and jute through the top of the tag and add three sultana Sprinkles to complete.

So there you are,  all done for this week.  We start again next Wednesday and I have some cards to share so hope you'll call back.
