PURE inspiration..........

Hello,

I've been going through my book shelves, it's been a while and to be honest I'd forgotten some of the lovely craft books I own.  One of them is a  sewing book called Simple Home and a cushion caught my eye. It was so simple just linen with the word PURE in white centred.  I thought it might make a nice card, what do you think?

I used a die to cut the word, once from the Kraft card and three times from white card.
Not sure it shows but the PURE is 'staked' three high and placed back into position on the Kraft.
I used my score board to add the 1/4" embossed line around the Kraft.
A die cut leaf with the addition of some linen twine to finish off.

I'm linking this card to the following Challenge at Addicted to Stamps

Thanks for taking a look today :)

The Caring Hearts Card Drive

Calling all Australian card makers....
Have you heard about this awesome card drive now in its 5th year??

The Caring Hearts Card Drive is all about collecting Christmas Cards
to give to the elderly who live in nursing homes.

The drive is run by Vera Yates and Jennifer McGuire in the US and there are two Canadian ladies also distributing to nursing homes throughout Canada.

Our Scrapbook Boutique Design Team member Linda Langes is the Australian contact for all the Aussie card makers
who would like to be a part of this wonderful event.

Your cards will go to nursing homes throughout Australia.

Here are all the details from Vera's blog -
Christmas is about family, kindness, and joy. During this time many of the elderly who live in nursing homes can feel lonely and be missing their families. Wouldn't it be awesome if we could bring a smile to their faces & brighten their holiday season simply by sharing our love of card making? A simple gesture to let them know that they are not forgotten.

We all love making cards and what’s better than knowing our creations can bring a smile to others, right?

A few important details:

Winter Wreath - Avery Elle for Scrapbook Boutique

My second share for Scrapbook Boutique this month uses Avery Elle's clear set Winter Wreath.

A CAS card :

I played with my sprays and a die for the tag:

The reverse is very clean to allow for some written detail.

This little set comes with enough images and sentiments to make a huge range of cards, tags, gift wrap you name it...........  I'm thinking this will get a real workout at my house!

Pop over to Scrapbook Boutique for the details today.

Thanks for calling past  :-)

Just a little stress relief........

Nothing fancy just a little Christmas card featuring a 'freebie' image from Tiddly Inks.
Coloured with Copic markers and using Prisma pencils for shading.

There is something quite relaxing about colouring an image and I can understand why adult colouring books are becoming so popular.

Talking about books I'm waiting for for this one to be delivered

Not too sure what to expect, have you got one? Let me know what you think.

I'm also starting to think about a December Daily for 2015 I had loads of fun with last years. Anyone else out there journal the fun of Christmas?

'Ruby' Decorated gift bag

Hi bloggers,

I'm sharing a decorated gift bag today, made with products from Scrapbook Boutique.  The little blue bag is one I had in my stash, I always keep a couple........just in case!  As a paper crafter it's easy to dress up a cheap buy with papers, stamps and ink and it makes for a fun way to give a gift.

Here's how:

  • Stamp the image to X-Press It blending card using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
  • Colour the image using Copic markers and a Spica pen for her beads.
  • Stamp the sentiment to smooth white card using Memento Bahama Blue ink.
  • Die cut the sentiment plus some DP using Spellbinders Labels 8 Die.
  • Adhere the sentiment over the DP (at an angle) and punch a hole in the top right hand corner.
  • Layer 2 strips of DP and trim to fit the width of the bag.
  • Add the coloured image to the front of the bag.
  • Thread some blue ribbon around the bag handles and through the punched hole in the label, finishing with a bow.
  • Add three enamel dots to complete.

That's it today, thanks so much for stopping by.
