Sunny Saturday......cards and photos

Helloooooo!

We're enjoying a beautiful Autumn day here in Sydney with plenty of sunshine!  Just thought I'd share a quick card I made last night ready for Mother's Day...........To the British readers of my blog.......we celebrate on a different day......so my Mum in the UK has two........and why not as the mother of 8 she deserves it!

Now I'll confess..........I had some pink petals already die cut so this card was super quick.  Just a case of shaping the rose and choosing a background.

Papers from Echo Park Style Essentials. The top one is a very soft pink which sits beneath the edge of my ric rac border.   I used MFT Jumbo ric rac die to cut this edge by positioning the card over half of the die only.   Spellbinders Rose Creations and Foliage dies were used for the flower.

I thought I'd share a picture of my craft room as of last night :)

44 boxes (Some of them quite small though!!)  Thank goodness for a friend who works at the local hospital.........these recycled boxes have saved us a fortune!

This bookshelf was full of magazines (sewing , paper craft) and books......which took up most of the boxes!

These shelves held all my stamp folders so what's left are the ones I'll transport!  The chest of drawers was full of card, paper pads and ribbons ......fancy having to empty all that.....yuk!

Behind that curtain are four plastic tubs full of fabric, a sewing machine an embroidery machine and an over locker!!!!!! Aghhhhh just starting to worry about where it's all going to go when we get to the new place!

AnnaBelle Bling Sketch Challenge #048

Hi Blogger's  are you ready to play along with this weeks sketch from Andrea?  One lucky person could be shopping in the store........so why not play along.

For my card I started with a pre folded blue card with a matching envelope and used BBD #5 and VersaMark to stamp the mottled background.

The image is from Whimsy Flowers, I used a Spellbinder die to trim the stamped scallop from the edge.   To colour this image, which I stamped to watercolour paper, I used my Inktense colouring pencils.  It's a while since I played with these, I'd forgotten how a little water makes the colours come to life.

The felt ric rac was cut using a Die-namics jumbo ric rac die and I added the white spots with a Sharpie poster paint pen. Some ABS pearl tear drops for my bling this week and the sentiment also stamped using Versamark.

Hope you'll go check on the Belle's creations this week.  We are thrilled to be welcoming a new member to our team this week,  drop by and say hello to Danielle.  All the links are under the DT tab at the top of my page.

Thanks for calling past........see you soon......

It's the last Sunday of March so time for the Roses Challenge.   Actually it's Monday a.m. here in Sydney. I had trouble photographing this card last night, so held it back until I could get a better shot :)
The sentiment is quite pale but IRL a little easier to see than it appears here (Please click on the picture to see it properly)!! This month's  challenge was to make a card for a friend.   We want her to know we're thinking about her, miss her and hope these cards from her crafting friends will brighten her day!  Off to the Post Office at 9!

Here's mine  using Uniko Studio's set Today, Tomorrow & Always TIME.

Scrapbook Boutique - Me & You

Hi Bloggers,

Today I get to share a card I made for Scrapbook Boutique. You can find all the details for this card over on the Scrapbook Boutique Blog, though I have added the product list below so you can click on any item to take you to the store!

My card was made with a Male in mind...........could be an Anniversary or even a Birthday card...See what you think!

There is no stamping at all on this one, I've just used papers from Teresa Collins Fabrications Linen  paper and accessories Pack.  Got to tell you this is seriously gorgeous 'stuff'!

The little double mounted butterflies are from Memory Box with the top lacy layer cut from some sponged scrap card.  Yes you hear right sponged.....I don't do sponging but I wanted the colour as close as possible to the red/brown of the dp so Rangers Distress inks in Worn Lipstick, Scattered Straw and a tap of shabby shutters did the trick!

Go check out the store, Evelyn has a  Storewide Sale on this week end only........Why not add a few items to your shopping basket to receive 10% off.     (ends midnight  Melb time Sunday)

Thanks for calling past........See you soon!

I've stamped AnnaBelle Stamps All Squared to contain my butterflies in this little 4 inch square card. The gingham dp is one of the digital papers Andrea has in the store.....always great to have on your computer........ready to go!

Hope you'll go check in with the Belle's or the ABS Blog.   I've had a sneak peek and can tell you there are some fabulous ideas to get you inspired.........  If you link up your card over at Stamp Embellish Create just add the TAG ac068 so we can find it in the gallery:)
