The Roses Challenge......Happy Halloween!!!

Hiya,

Last Sunday of the month is time for the Roses challenge  and Kerrie picked a Halloween theme.......This year the shops have been full of giant pumpkins, witches hats, spiders and all the paraphernalia associated with Halloween.  So no excuses and no ducking out of this challenge!

I found this printable coffin on the Internet whilst looking for the usual SCS one! I really loved the wood grain look and RIP in gold on the top so this was it printed from the computer, cut and folded ..... job done!

I've mentioned how I've been playing with 'Di the Cut'......... well 'Di' cut the spooky spider and the bat I used to decorate the coffin, which I've filled with lollies and yummy snakes......cool ah?  Still a bit easy though...... so I thought I'd make a card too.

My base is plain black with a layer of Pumpkin Pie then I cut this fabulous scene from more black card (using 'Di').  The sentiment was computer generated and printed onto a scrap of Pumpkin Pie card. To attach this I've punched a slot either side of the sentiment with the SU slot punch, threaded some black satin ribbon and tied it off to the side.

Can't wait to see what the Roses came up with for this one....... and looking forward to our next challenge.

Here's the link for the printable coffin if you're inerested.

Thanks for calling by, see you soon. x

Two Hearts.........or Heartfelt Thanks.....

Happy Saturday Blogger's,

I hope this is the start of a good week end for you.  I've had a very crafty day today......playing with my PI and I'll share the results with you after the week end.  Tomorrow is the Roses challenge card so that's all organised ready to go, so what about this little CAS card.

To begin I used the PI to cut the 5.5 x 4.25 card shape scoring the centre fold for me and cutting out the heart shape.  I really wanted to start getting a couple of basic cards programed into the machine ready to make quick cards, this is the first.

Waltzingmouse stamps has this little 'Frame It' set with lots of sentiments to sit within the space so I went with the heart theme.  The cut out heart has been coloured with a Copic marker and positioned within the stamped frame on foam tape.   I've used a layer of pretty dp on the inside of my card to be seen through the   cut away heart.  Adding some SU tape and two soft pink dew drops to complete.

Thanks for dropping in, till tomorrow.............

Hello Blogger's,

Before I get into today's Annabelle Challenge my little blog reached 100 followers yesterday!!! Now for lots of you that's not so many...... but I'm thrilled to have reached this number!  I've hovered close for a while now,  with the Candy on offer got sooooo close...... then it dropped away after the Candy was claimed!!! Go figure!!!  Anyway Monique made the 100 so there is a little something in the mail to her as a welcome and thank you.  Keep watching there just might be more .........

Last Friday of the month means it's time for the Annabelle Stamps Sketch with Bling Challenge.
Don't forget you can enter or combine the weekly challenges to be in the running for the $20 shopping voucher for the on-line store.

Andrea has given us the sketch above to play with which was perfect to use one of the new Background stamps from 'Backgrounds By Design - Numbers'.

I've used the retro squares and added one of the tiny accent stamps in a few of the blank spaces.  Wrapped some ABS flower ribbon around the top of this then promptly covered the flowers with lilac 6mm Sprinkles!!!   Some white ABS petals coloured with Copic markers seemed just right for the round section and the sentiment, from the same set, was stamped onto some green card shaped with a Spellbinder die.

Check out the the Annabelle blog for all the latest news and why not check the DT's blogs to see how they played with this sketch.  Hope you can play along.

My card is entered into the following challenges this week:

Some Odd Girl - orange, green, purple
Flourishes- FTTC90 -anything but buttons and bows
2 Sisters  - anything goes

Stamps: Annabelle Stamps, Backgrounds By Design-Numbers, Ink: SU Pear Pizzazz, Memento Pear Tart and Tuxedo Black. Card: Sam & Lucy Fruit Salad Pearlescent. Romans White, Basic Grey Sugar Rush. This next little card also..... sorta.... kinda fits this weeks Annabelle  challenge, using Backgrounds By Design-Numbers  flipped the sketch and made as a 4 x 4 card. ...... What do you think?  I think the lollipop will be off there quick smart!!!

Waltzingmouse Tag You're It Challenge

Claire from Waltzingmouse Stamps issued a challenge for Christmas 2010 that she calls 'Tag you're it". She would like to see a tag and asked us to think ''beauty'' and "elegance".   Not sure about beauty and elegance ..... however here's a Christmas Tag from me!

I've used a Spellbinder Labels 4 die for my tag shape. Three layers with gold card for the centre one.   Gold Embossed sentiment  over some stamped musical notes. Next some white embossed snowflakes.  Some Holly with berries stamped and cut to decorate the tag.    Red ribbon, gold twine and a couple of small gold bells complete my tag.

Back Friday with Annabelle Stamps sketch challenge, hope you'll call past.

Stamps: Waltzingmouse Musical Background, Very Vintage Christmas, Compliments of the Season.

Folded Flower.......

I've been playing with my Die Cutting machine and found this paper folded flower to try.
I love the sound of the machine (from now on referred to as PI or maybe 'Di the Cut') as it carries out the 'Kiss Cuts' to make folding easy.........It sure does too.  Some ribbon for the stem and leaf and I got to use some of my Japanese tape along the bottom.    How quick and easy was this and such a sweet card for a little girl.

See you soon................

SCS - CAS90 - Gingham

This weeks CAS challenge on SCS is to use gingham, which would have to be one of my favourite looks, especially for CAS cards.  I've printed some  baby blue gingham onto white card stock for my card.

The stamp is from Annabelle Stamps Sentimental Bluebells, stamped in VersaColor Royal Blue and cut using Spellbinder circle dies. I've popped up the centre sentiment on foam dots. Four little Annabelle Sprinkles in Waterfall complete this card.

Thanks for dropping by, see you soon........

Hello,

I hope you all enjoyed seeing the October previews for Annabelle Stamps and have been able to take advantage of the special deal this month........check the Annabelle Blog for details, if you missed them.
Oh and congratulations to the three winners from our preview Blog Hops. Sarah, Wendy and Elena Don't forget to post your links so we can see how you use your new sets. Better still make a card for our challenges!!

Today Andrea has challenged us to say it in Black and White.  I couldn't resist using  Lil' Michelle with her best friend for my card.

I've also used one of the small accent stamps that came with Backgrounds By Design - Numbers, the small parcel that fits so well into the spaces between the stamped squares. I've just randomly stamped it in white chalk ink across some black DP  to add a little interest.   Michelle is stamped onto X-Press It Blending card and coloured with four shades of grey Copic Markers.

A punched border, some stitched ribbon along with a button and a Spellbinder tag came next. Then to finish I added six little teardrop pearls from the store.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Tuesday Throwdown - anything goes

Just Popped in with some Christmas Cheer!!!!!

Hi all,

It's been a busy week this week meeting up with friends, which is always good fun. Walshie and I have just come in today after a run up the coast.  The weather today has been lovely so it was good to spend some time outside.  Our plan is to try and get away more this summer so will need to get myself a little better organised!

I have this card I made last week using one of WMS older Christmas sets 'Very Vintage Christmas'.  I'm thinking of some post friendly cards for my overseas post this year and want to keep embellishments and layers down to minimum!

I started with SU Kraft and stamped the snowflake using white chalk ink then inked the edges.  The focal image is stamped to some white hammered card in SU Poppy Parade and sits on a scalloped circle of the same coloured card.  The holly was from the same set coloured with Copics and cut out, with just three Annabelle Stamps Cherry Sprinkles to complete the card.

Tomorrow is Annabelle Stamps Say it in challenge day ....... I hope you'll pop by for that and don't forget you have until Midnight 22 October  Aus. time to take advantage of the Free Postage offer for this months release.  All the details can be found here.

See you soon............

Annabelle Stamps - Oct. Previews - Lil' Belles Molly and Lil' Bee

Final day 3 and release day today at Annabelle Stamps, hope you started at Andrea's blog as she is your first stop.  If you came to me from Teresa's blog you're on the right track.  Don't forget to leave a comment at each stop, tell us what you like about the new images.  You could be the randomly picked winner of both stamps featured.

Today we have  Lil Belles  Molly and Lil Bee. (Don't be surprised to see Lil Monster and Lil Bee on some DT blogs though! )

Here's Molly with a sweet bunch of flowers for someone.  She was stamped onto X-Press It Blending card, coloured with Copic Markers then cut out. If you colour with Copics you have to try this Blending card......it's the best, it's Australian and it's taking the US by storm! I've made my card with an oval window and the sentiment inside the card. Using a scalloped die to frame the window, then added some beautiful Annabelle Rosebuds tied with some twirled silk ribbon around the frame. Lots of tiny Sprinkles to add a little sparkle and Molly's dressed and ready to send!

XxXxXxXxXxX

Here's another project featuring Molly.  I've been playing with my Pazzles Inspiration Cutter, a whiz bang cutting machine that I have to learn to use properly!  I found a pattern here designed by a very creative lady Brenda.  It cuts this 9inch bag which is a really good size to pop in a pressie.  I've decorated the front of my bag with some pretty ribbon and added Molly who is wearing a paper pieced pinafore to match the bag.  I've coloured with my Copics and cut the ovals with Spellbinder dies.
This little teddy will sit very well inside my gift bag ......just right for a little girl.

XxXxXxXxXxXxXxX

For the next preview I've decorated another  little handmade gift bag using Lil Bee .  This is a very simple 'me' bag made with double sided 12x12 card and using my Scor-Pal. A pretty punched top and some ribbon handles.

This pretty little stamp is the perfect decoration for a  gift as well as a card.
Stamped onto X-Press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics, this image was then double mounted onto first lemon card then a scalloped circle of black.  Same but smaller for the sentiment tag. DF Satin Ribbon in white was used for the bags handles and I used some  Heart Pearls to add to the tag and daisy.  This little gift bag holds some Vanilla drawer sachets and a pretty lace hankie.

So that's it for October ..... I hope you've enjoyed seeing these stamps and might just be inspired to add a couple or more  to your collection.  Go check the Annabelle Stamps Blog for the details of this months DEAL........a little birdie....or was it a bee.... told me......

Waltzingmouse Autumn Blog Waltz

Please scroll beyond this post for Annabelle's .

Hello,  it's Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz time so thanks for stopping by. You can get the blog list here if you've just happened on my post, I promise you'll find lots to inspire you.

It's supposed to be Spring in Sydney but it feels more like Autumn.  It's been blowing a Hooley for the past 48 hours. Perfect crafting weather though and with the theme of Autumn for this months Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz  I was definitely in the right mood.
Big Blooms Chrysanthemums was the set of choice, stamping four layers to cut out and some of the leaves. Lots of sponging, distressing and a bit of piercing. Add some ribbon a bow, tag and button, maybe a few gems ..... and here it is.

Here's how for those who like to see such things:-

1. One layer of SU Pear Pizzazz over PW heavyweight card.
2. Stamp the lattice from Pic-nic Patterns in Antique Linen Distress ink, sponge, pierce and distress the edges.  Do the same to a scrap ready for the tag.
3. Punch both sides of some gold card with a SU punch. Wrap around some gold Organza ribbon and add the ABS Toffee 3mm Sprinkles between each scallop.
4. Cut a label tag from the inked scrap, stamp  the Sentiment from Roses In Bloom and distress.
5. Tie a bow adding a button with a linen thread bow, catching the label and attach to the card with a foam dot.
6. Stamp the larger Chrysanthemum  twice in Memento Potter's Clay and cut out. Cutting the second one slightly smaller. Stamp two more layers and attach them all one over the other, turning up slightly around the edge.
7. Stamp three leaves and cut out.
8. Spray the flower and leaves with Glimmer mist, once dry arrange on the card. Add a Toffee sprinkle in the centre of the flower.

Thanks again for stopping by, and thanks Claire for these gorgeous sets to play with.

Annabelle Stamps - Oct. Previews - Numbers and Backgrounds By Design Numbers.

Preview day 2 at Annabelle Stamps, hope you started at Andrea's blog as she is your first stop. If you came to me from Teresa's blog you're on the right track.  Don't forget to leave a comment at each stop, tell us what you like about the new images.  You could be the randomly picked winner of both sets featured today.

Design team member Teresa designed this  set.  It's called Numbers but as you can see there are  a few other bits and bobs here to play with.  I think this would be a great set for those who also make scrapbook pages. I have a couple of things to share:
The first being a card using one of the numbers to show the age of the recipient....well that's a pretty obvious use for this set!  I've added a decorated bottle of Snakes as a small gift too.  I coloured Lil' Monster and added some detail to his T shirt and the balloon using images from this set.

The first card I made was a bit of a cheat really .....but I liked it!! What do you think? I've added some numbers to the blank circles on this colourful DP .  Just popped up the circle with 3 stamped on it!

XxXxXxXxXxX

The second set is called Backgrounds By Design, Numbers.  I love this little set and the CAS card I made using it.

This is a Male card so I didn't add any bling at all just the punched stars.  Stamping the border stamp across the bottom of some SU baja breeze in the matching ink.  I've stamped twice overlapping slightly. the sentiment  was stamped on white card and popped up on foam dots.  The main white panel is covered with this boarder stamp of numbers and stars - trimmed to size and popped up on foam dots with the punched stars popped up too.

Ida will be waiting for you over on her blog, don't forget to leave a comment  let me know what you think of these stamps.  I'll be back on the 19th with the last two stamps for this month.

See you then.

Annabelle Stamps - Oct. Previews - Lil Belles Michelle and Monster

Preview time at Annabelle Stamps, hope you started at Andrea's blog as she is your first stop. If you came to me from Teresa's blog you're on the right track.  Don't forget to leave a comment at each stop, tell us what you like about the new images.  You could be the randomly picked winner of BOTH the sets featured. We have 3 days of previews with a winner each day.

I'm really excited to show you the new October images, six in total and today we have two to share.  My first card features one of the Lil' Belles stamps called Michelle......... so sweet isn't she.  Break out the Copic markers start 'flicking' two shades to colour top and skirt, or get those colouring pencils with OMS and start shading.  This month is all about colouring.......well almost all!

I've added some stitching to my card along with some sponging. Some gorgeous pink satin ribbon from Annabelle as well as the blossom sprinkle.  This little image comes with a choice of 3 sentiments too.

X-X-X-X-X-X-X

My second card features one for the boys!  Lil' Monster.     Ha ha.....look at those eyes!!

I kept this card very basic black...... and a monster to me is green so ........ I Copic Coloured this image then cut it out discarding the balloon string and keeping his balloon separate to pop up on foam. I added the gold cord which I could shape slightly.  I stamped the xxx on his T shirt and another of the sentiments onto his balloon.......you might just see the smiley face!  This little monster is so much fun, he comes with another sentiment (not used here) 'Have a Monster of a Birthday!'

Now are you ready to move on to the next stop of your hop?   Ida follows me and I'm sure she has some inspiring projects to share with you.

17th October is day 2 of our previews, with two slightly different sets to share.  All six previewed sets go on sale after 12pm on 19th October. I'd love to hear what you think of these images.  Thanks for stopping by.

See you soon......

Vroom Vroom...........

O M Goodness........I'm having such fun with September's Waltzingmouse Stamp sets and guess what October's are on their way.......yeah!!!!

So I've got to say it.......stinking cute...... what do you think?  This image and sentiment is from  'Half Pint Hero's', just wait till you see the submarine and the rocket from this set.

Before I get to the card, I have a bit of a bee in my bonnet at the moment about the type of card available in Australia.  I'd love to be able to buy something like this blue check I printed onto plain white card.  This is A5 folded, so the inside is white......love it!!!  For the CAS cards I enjoy making, this is fantastic. If anyone knows of a local supplier, and I have searched, pass it on will you, or I guess I'll be paying shipping costs from America!  OK onto the card.

I stamped and coloured this image, with Copic markers onto white card then cut it out.  I've punched the bottom edge of some pink card, tied a piece of SU cotton twill off to one side. The image was positioned but not stuck down until after I'd stamped the sentiment.  I used some foam tape to adhere  the pink panel to the card base.

Hope you like this little card and if you haven't tried any of Claire's stamps ..... think about it ....... you'll love them too.

I'm back Tomorrow with Day 1 of the Annabelle Stamps previews....... hope you'll call past for that.

Bye for now...........

CAS - Crinkle

Today's card is my entry to this weeks CAS challenge on SCS. The challenge was to be inspired by the word CRINKLE  which I've interpreted with the crinkled brown card and the skeleton leaves.

I've used a stamped sentiment from GKD stamped in SU almost cocoa, stamped onto this odd sheet of cream card I picked up in a stationary store.......love the natural look of this card so added the string and a very natural button to complete.

Now I look at this card I wish the top leaf was flipped round to make a point to the sentiment.  So saying, I put the leaves through the Xyron tape 'thingie' which was a bit of a fiddle .... they were sticking to my fingers.  It was definitely a case of one chance to get them in the right place!

See you soon...........

JOY......

Here's another Christmas card.......I'm stepping things up in the Christmas department do you think?  I've stamped the larger Christmas tree from Waltzingmouse's 'Nutcracker Sweet' onto a piece of Kraft and clear embossed it for this one.  With just a hint of colour and some bling!  The musical notes are from another WMS set called 'Musical Backgrounds' and these were stamped onto Kraft, clear embossed and then sponged with VersaMagic Cloud White chalk ink.  Some satin ribbon from Annabelle Stamps, a couple of buttons dressed with tea dyed string and the little sentiment tag cut from a Spellbinder die complete this card.

I'm entering this Christmas card into the Moxie Fab Jolly Holly Greetings Challenge.

Thanks for calling past and have a great day.........

Waltzingmouse Stamps Challenge #18 - Noel

Hiya, how's your week end so far?  I'm pleased to say the rain has pretty much held off here in Sydney though it's been a bit overcast.  Managed to get all the 'must do' jobs done and last night I sat and made a card for this weeks  Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #18.

I know the clever card makers will read lots into Claire's sketch but to me it says Christmas Trees and I just happen to have a couple.......Nutcracker Sweet by WMS has a couple of great trees that I hadn't inked up yet so I had two out of three. Choosing card took some playing around but I finally decided on SU Concord Crush and Pear Pizzazz.

Base card is GKD Pure Luxury heavyweight in pure white. The concord crush was embossed using QuicKutz diamonds and dots.

Using VersaMark ink I embossed a large snowflake onto some SU Whisper White card before stamping the larger tree in Pear Pizzazz. I've silver embossed around the edge of this panel before mounting it to some Pear Pizzazz card. Two smaller trees were stamped on another piece of WW card and cut out. These have  both been popped up on foam tape the front one on a thicker foam to make it stand forward.

The sentiment is stamped in Concord Crush  and cut using a Spellbinder scalloped circle die, with the top portion cut away.  Some Pear Pizzazz cotton twill was stapled into a loop with the sentiment attached over the front with tape. To finish off I added the Kaisercraft gems to the sentiment and three Annabelle Stamps twinkling stars to the top of the trees.

This card is also entered into the Moxie Fab Jolly Holly Greetings Challenge.

Waltzingmouse have a blog hop on 17th October,  I'm hoping to take part in this month..... The theme is Autumn so hope to get to work on that tomorrow.  With Annabelle Stamps October release due to start on 15th it will be a busy week.

I've had a few Walshie enquiries........ he's doing really well, has an X-ray and seeing the Surgeon Monday for the final (we hope) visit.  Still having Physio. and hoping that he might get the go ahead to start lifting some weights to work on the upper arm.  The hand is coming along nicely, he has to see the specialist in a weeks time but he's back at work and managing the driving etc. so all good.

Till next time............
