Merry Christmas

Hello,  are you still beavering away getting ready for the festive season? Does your house smell of cinnamon and spices from the baking of traditional family favourites?

Ian and I are spending Christmas with friends out of Sydney this year,  coming back for the New Year celebrations. This last year has just flown past.....like most years we've had highs and lows but in the main it hasn't been too bad and we're grateful for that.  We know there are many who have not been so fortunate. The early part of the year seemed to be filled with natural disasters.   It was a sad year too, loosing a crafting 'friend'. Her family will be in my thoughts this year as I'm sure they will be in yours too.

Whatever your Christmas traditions may be, I wish you  a safe and happy festive season  and a happy and healthy new year.

I have one more Christmas project to share with you today, though you may have seen an earlier project just like it, using non traditional Christmas colours.

A friend of mine really liked the Christmas decoration I made for Heartfelt Creations and asked if I'd make one for her. This time I used red and green....... much more traditional colours and papers. She's happy and this decoration will be displayed along with so many more she brings out every year.  Her house looks amazing!!

Thanks for visiting me this year. Blogging wouldn't be as much fun if you didn't!
MERRY CHRISTMAS I hope you'll call back in the new year.

Scrapbook Boutique - Merry Christmas Snowman

Hello Blogger's,

Here's a Christmas set I'm posting for Scrapbook Boutique. Super quick and easy card for those of us still working on last minute Christmas cards :) with an equally quick gift bag to match.

This little snowman is from Inkadinka Cling and coloured with Copic markers  came together really quickly. I did stamp the bird twice so I could pop him up to add a little dimension though.

The dp is from a new 6 x 6 inch paper pad from Authentique the collection is called Gathering, lots of pretty paper ready for the new year! I've added a little icicle border using a MFT die-namics die, adding some sparkle with  glitter.

The gift bag is made using another Labels 8 die cut which is just folded to attach over the top of the clear bag. The Merry Christmas sentiment was just a perfect fit.

You can find the directions for both at the Scrapbook Boutique blog.

Thanks for calling past............

AnnaBelle Stamps

Welcome to AnnaBelle Stamps Friday challenge. I think we just might be swamped with entries with Andrea's theme  this time :).......  So come on ...... show us what you've got......we want to see your Christmas Cards! If you're anything like me you're still making one .....or two!

For my card I chose to feature a sentiment from 'Stamped For Christmas', though I also clear embossed the music score from  BBD 6  to green card.  Using Spellbinders square and Fleu De Lis dies for the frame and traditional colours I couldn't resist  a die cut and embossed Poinsettia :)

My base card is one of ABS 140mm square pre-cut Kraft cards that come in a pack of 10.  The dp is from KaiserCraft's December 25th 6" x 6" collection. AnnaBelle's beautiful red satin ribbon tied a pretty bow and I've added tiny cherry Sprinkles on either side of an artichoke Sprinkle, with 3 3mm toffee Sprinkles in the centre of the Poinsettia.

Hope you'll go check in with the Belle's today, all the links are under the DT tab at the top of my page.

Only one week to go..........are you ready? I'm almost there.... some wrapping to organise and a couple more bits of shopping then it's just some baking for Christmas bits to take with us......Phew how do all the Mums manage and those who work too???????   If you're one of these amazing ladies ........you deserve a medal!  Or as my Dad used to say "your blood's worth bottling".........well you get the idea!

Have a good week end...............

Scrapbook Boutique - Merry Christmas Book Frame.

Hello Blogger's,

I'm sharing a card I made for Scrapbook Boutique today.  It features some of the fabulous sets from Heartfelt Creations 'Book Frame 1' and 'Petite Poinsettia'.

I've used the book frame for a Christmas card by adding the Poinsettia as well as a Christmas sentiment but it could be used for many other occasions too.

How pretty the Petite Poinsettia looks when stamped and die cut, almost real!  I'll admit that lots of my cards this year have one popped in somewhere.

You can find the instructions for this card over at the Scrapbook Boutique blog. All the products are linked below.

Poinsettias are in bloom here at the moment. I was given a lovely one last Christmas and managed to keep it in a pot.  I hope to plant it in the garden eventually...... but for now I enjoy it outside on the balcony.   After all the rain here in Sydney, my plant is looking much fuller than it does in this picture and the leaves are a beautiful deep green.

Have you joined in the Scrapbook Boutique Inspirational Challenge this month? Check out all the details here and come and join the fun.

Thanks for dropping by, I'll be back on Friday with AnnaBelle's Friday Challenge till then...take care.

To be eligible to win the prize, leave a comment on each of the blogs, with the SB blog being the last one.  The random winner will be drawn from the  SB blog and announced on Sunday 18th.
Unfortunately the blog hop prize (and the inspiration challenge) are only open to anyone with an Australian mailing address.

The Blog Hop prize this month is: Prima: North Country.

We would love you to play along with our regular monthly inspirational challenge.
The theme is Pink, Blue, Red and White. Make a project using the following picture as your inspirationand you could be the winner of a $30 gift voucher for Scrapbook Boutique.
(Link your project on the SB Blog before 31/12/11)

I've used a pretty Hero Arts Stamp called Branch & Flourish Tree for my card. Embossed in opaque white  over red core'dinations colorcore card, some machine stitching frames the image. The sentiment is computer generated and sits over Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Accents border.......yum!
3 pearls complete the card.

Thanks for calling past today, enjoy the rest of the hop.

Opps......I'm sorry I said in my original post this border was the Spellbinders Grand Lace border, when in fact it is Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Accents. I got it right in the products list though........sorry if I've confused you all!
