"BALLERINA ROSE' - Annabelle Stamps - July Release

TODAY WE START THE JULY PREVIEWS ~~~ Four new sets for  Annabelle Stamps that you can purchase from 21 July.
At the bottom of this post you can find out how to win your own copy of this set.

For those who haven't tried Annabelle Stamps  they are clear stamps that come on clear plastic sheets  measuring  4" x 6" and can be stored in A5 clear plastic sleeves. I keep mine in small ring binders from Spotlight.

The sets combine images and lots of sentiments making them very usable.

We're featuring a very pretty set today called Ballerina Rose and I've used one of the smaller images from the set.
It's actually two roses side by side that I stamped four times onto white card then cut them all out to form the circle.

I've also used one of the edge/border stamps as well as a sentiment from the set.

Method:

1. Fold a piece of white card for the card base and round one corner.
2. Punch the bottom edge of some pale lemon card with a Fiskars punch.
3. Stamp two lines of edging allowing for some one inch ribbon to sit between. Ink is MS hibiscus.
4. fold one piece of ribbon and secure behind the pale lemon card. Tie a bow in the second piece  and  stitch a length of linen thread through the centre of the bow and  a white petal. Tie this into a bow and add a blossom gem (both the petal and gem come from the pink petals kit). The white The completed bow is attached with a glue dot.
5. Stamp the Ballerina blooms four time using hibiscus ink, colour with Copics and cut out.
6. Stamp the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black onto the pale lemon card. (I worked out where my blossoms would sit before doing this.)
7. Add the blossoms using fine foam tape around the sentiment.
8. Attach the completed lemon card to the card base with double sided tape.

I just wanted to show you the contents of the petal kits. Coordinating ribbon, flowers and an assortment of gems and sprinkles........How good would it be to have these in every colour!  Annabelle Stamps have the pink set, as here and also in  tan/brown.

My second card is a very quick and simple card using the main image from Ballerina Rose. I've stamped it using Versa Mark onto a pale lilac card which sits on a mat of black on a pewter card base.
Some linen cord and pewter pearls embellish this Sympathy card. I've attached the sentiment so it sits up in the middle.

It was such a dull day when I took this photo which is a shame  IRL the pale lilac is brighter.

Black Lace and Roses........WSC#5

Today I want to share a card I made for the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #5.

I love this open rose image and stamping it onto coloured card is my favourite way to use it, though today I've clear embossed it too.

Method:

1. Cut and fold Ivory Pure Luxury Card to give a 4.75 x 4.25 card base.
2. Mat some Christina Re lace dp to black American Craft card.
3. Layer some burgundy and cream satin ribbon then add the fine strand of black sequins across the middle. Wrap around the lace dp then attach this to the base card.
4. Using A Spellbinder die punch and emboss the Labels 9 shape from Ivory PL card. Whilst still in the die sponge  using Memento rhubarb stalk ink.
5. Using a circle die as a guide and a Copic black multi liner ink the circle of dots.
6. Stamp the image from Roses in Bloom in rhubarb stalk ink onto burgundy American Craft card and emboss with clear embossing powder. Using a craft knife cut the image out and attach to the centre of the punched shape.
7. Attach the completed centre to the card base with foam dots and attach the Black gem to complete the card.

Thanks for taking the time to drop by today, I'll be back on Thursday with day one of Annabelle Stamps July Release previews.......Hope you can call back for that.
Till then............

Home again....

Hello Blogger's,

Hope you're all fit and well. The boss and I got home last Wednesday after a great trip.  It's taken us both a few days to get settled back down at home.

Thank you all for your lovely comments whilst I was away, you are the BEST and I really missed you.

I have to get back into the swing of things now as Annabelle Stamps has a July release due to start previewing on 15th.  I've also been going through the pictures 900+ of them!

Some of you have asked to see some so I'll add a few to a slide show. Not too many it's boring seeing other peoples holiday snaps!  Thought I'd break them down into groups so today I've added a few shots from Hong Kong. I loved this busy, sometimes chaotic city with such friendly locals.  See what you think, you can click on them to enlarge.

I had a few thank you cards and little gifts to put together over the week end so today thought I'd post these little Ghirardelli Chocolate Boxes I whipped up!  Oh yes, I discovered these American chocs you all talk about! Yum are they delish!  Brought some back with me too but they won't last long........

I uses a couple of different stamp sets here, the image and sentiment is from an early Waltzingmouse set and the frame is from Tami Mayberry called 'Special Delivery'.  You can find the instructions for making this box here.

Back with more soon................

Farewell Washington - Hello San Francisco.........

  Morning Blogger's,

The suitcases are packed once again and we're ready to wave goodbye to Washington.  We've had such a great time here taking in as much as possible. San Francisco here we come. We fly with AA and change aircraft in Fort Worth.... it's quite a long internal flight but the way I see it it means our last flight from SF to Sydney will be only 14 hours ish!!!!

I've only ever stopped for an Aircraft change in San Fran. when Walshie and I moved over to Australia.
We had planned to break the journey here but it wasn't to be!!!
Ian flew there from London and waited for me to catch up with him..............The people who packed up our UK house packed my Passport so I had to retrieve it and follow Ian a day later ..... Oh what fun!!!

Now I get to enjoy the City on the bay................
Betty if you read this I'm thinking of you and hope the weather I've been  hearing about around Texas misses you guys!  That's it better get moving.

Till next time.................
