Was It Me???????

Hi Blogger's ...........So there  I was talking about Black Friday in my last post and Blogger closes down for hours.....hush my mouth!  It played havoc with my pre-set posts, dropping out any corrections or alterations I'd made. Not too sure how many of your comments I lost. Haven't really checked that.... but I did have a second card posted for AnnaBelle Stamps Monochromatic challenge which simply didn't appear.  How did you get on..... did you have problems? 

Anyway enough moaning, here's the card I made as a second card. 

I've paper pieced another image from AnnaBelle Stamps 'Baby Joy'.  Some lace, a lacy doily and three tiny flowers. Finished off with some pink gems to add to the glittered paper strip for some sparkle.

It's amazing just how much work you can get through when the Internet plays up though, don't you think?  On Friday I started clearing out my paper stash which led  to a total re-jig of my craft room.  On Saturday Walshie joined in and between us we've given my space a really good clean and sort.  Probably won't be able to find a thing for a couple of days  but in the main it's so much neater.  Might have to bore you with a picture when it's all  done :)   I'm looking for a couple of people who have just started making cards to send a few odds and ends to. If you know anyone ......pass it on ....please.  OK that's it hope you're enjoying a great weekend.........till next time............

For my card this week I've used another new set from AnnaBelle and this is a set Iwona designed called Baby Joy.  

I've used some more of the beautiful gingham  digital that you can download from AnnaBelle...........have you tried it yet?   The inks are VersaColour sand beige and SU close to cocoa.  I've added three Sultana Sprinkles for a little bling  on this CAS card.

Heartfelt Creations - Book Card

As promised I'm sharing a book card today made with more of the Heartfelt Creations May Release Bella Rose Collection. Thanks for all the lovely comments on my cup tote and the shadow box card I shared yesterday. They were fun projects to make with these stamps and dies.

Copic Markers, Memento tuxedo black ink, VersaColor sand beige, SU peach parfait. Atyou Spica Pen – Red, Signo sparkling silver pen. Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist – iridescent gold.

Kaisercraft gems, Gem Art self-adhesive swirls. Cream organza ribbon. Foam Tabs, Aleene’s Tacky Craft Glue, LSS double-sided tape.

Instructions:

Stamp Birdhouse and Butterfly from Bella Rose House once, Bella Rose Vintage Background twice and two roses from Classic Bella Rose twice onto X-Press It Blending Card and colour with Copic Markers adding detail with Spica and glitter pens.  Cut out Birdhouse and set aside. Using the matching die cut out the butterfly and put aside.  From one stamped and coloured Vintage Background cut around the roses and leaves at the bottom as well as the butterfly. Using foam mounting tape add this piece over the complete image and spray with Glimmer Mist. Glimmer Mist the butterfly and when dry add this to the background stamp using foam to pop it up. Die cut the two single roses using the matching die, put aside.  Stamp the sentiment and die cut with the labels 14 die, put aside.

To make up the ‘pages’ of the Book Box Card cut from white card two pieces measuring 9 x 5.5” and two pieces 9 x 5.75”. Score 11 times at .75” on all four strips and concertina fold using a bone folder to give a crisp fold. The 5.75” pieces make up the right and left side of the book pages and the 5.5” are the top and bottom. Slotting them together by inserting the folds one into the other, add some tacky glue between the last folds top and bottom to secure the pages together. Sponge the edges with the peach parfait glue.    Punch four pieces of eyelet dsp at .75” wide and attach to the front of the folded pages.

Measure and cut the brown Pearlized card at 6 x 12” and score at 5.75” and 6.25” fold on score lines. 

To construct:  Open up the Scored brown card. Cut a length of ribbon and secure to the inside right hand page with d/s tape. Sit the completed pages over the Vintage Background image and secure with d/s tape. Position this section on the inside right hand page over the ribbon. Secure into position with d/s tape and tacky glue. Die cut four corner swirls from the glittered card and using tacky glue add these to the four corners.  Add a layer of dsp to the left page and add the die cut sentiment. Using tacky glue add the two roses.

 The front page is made up by adding a length of ribbon to the brown card using d/s tape to adhere.  Then a layer of glitter paper cut just 1/8” smaller than the cover.  Trim the Webster’s Pages to 1/8” smaller than the glittered paper and using a craft knife cut a square, my chosen paper had a squared section in the pattern so I used that. Place the image centred to this cut out; adhere with d/s tape and tacky glue to the glittered paper. Attach the Webster’s Pages over this with a couple of elements overlapped (Mine has a rose bud and leaves).  Add the self-adhesive gem swirls and pop the Butterfly up using foam tape and some tacky glue.  Tie a pretty bow in the ribbon to secure the book closed.

Other Products:          LSS white card, American Craft card in green and tan. DSP Webster’s Pages –petite papers. Copic Marker’s, Atyou Spica pens in red and silver. The Paper Mill gold card stickers. Green seam binding, KaiserCraft gems. SU eyelet border punch. Foam tape, Aleene’s Tacky Craft Glue, double sided tape. ScorPal and Cuttlebug.

Instructions:              Trim green and tan card to 6.5 x 6.5 inches and score at  .5, 1.0, 5.5 and 6.0 inches and fold. Using a Label s 4 die cut a window from the centre of the green card.  Using the same die line up and cut the dsp to sit over the front of the green card. Adhere the dsp with double sided tape.

Using the eyelet punch, punch borders from the tan card to fit along both sides and the front of the shadow box. Adhere the gold lace sticker to all three strips of border and using tape adhere to the .5 inches edges of both sides of the green card and the across the bottom. Apply double sided tape to a length of green seam binding long enough to tuck around to the inside of the shadow box and adhere.

Stamp the trellis image to white card twice and colour one completely with Copic Markers. On the second image trim around the roses and leaves to pop up, colour with Copic’s. Using foam tape add the popped up sections.  Using the Spica pens add highlights to the roses and leaves. Adhere the completed image to green card and position on the front of the tan card using double sided tape. Stamp two butterflies and using the matching die cut them out colour and add detail with Spica pen. Add one to the trellis using foam tape and tacky glue.

Run a length of strong tape along the edge of the tan card at both sides and adhere to the front green section.

Stamp the sentiment to a strip of tan card and snip the edges for the banner shape. Adhere to card front lifting the middle slightly. Add two gems. Tie a double loop bow into more of the green seam binding and add to card front with foam and tacky glue.  Add the second butterfly in the top right corner and three gems on either side of the card to complete.

My next project uses the lovely image called Tea With Bella:

This quilted cup tote was made to carry your own cup when you go along to a crop or card making group.  Quilters love to make these as giveaways to quilting friends and this pretty china mug  was perfect for a little back stitch stitchery and makes a perfect pocket.  The petals on the ends of the draw strings were punched from felt using the Posy Patch die HCD 701 .  I won't add all the instructions here......this is a long enough post.  But if any one's interested I have them.

I haven't posted since the week end but it's been a madhouse here!  Sun's been shining too so needed to make the most of it.

Today I'm sharing another card I made with Heartfelt Creations products, this time it was just two dies.....the butterfly and the pretty border edge.  They come in one set called HCD 702 - Decorative Butterfly  Border Die, the corner piece is lovely (not seen here).  I die cut the butterfly from some pretty Prima paper then covered it with glitter IRL it looked really good......just hard to catch with the camera.  I used one of those big gem swirls too.........wish you could have seen the tangle I got into with that! there must be a knack!!! The to finish off the silk ribbon bow......how can you fail with silk ribbon........just wish I could buy it locally........tut tut.

Heartfelt Creations - Home Sweet Home

I thought I'd share another Heartfelt Creations project with you today.  You may have already seen this if you visit the Heartfelt Creation blog.  Having stamped so many Red Cardinals over the past month from the Springtime Cardinal Collection I thought they needed their own home so with the help of my PI I made them one...........what do you think!

All made from a Cereal box and some American Craft card.......but look at the Cardinal surrounded by blooms.....he looks so happy....don't you think? I hoped it was a good way to showcase these amazing stamps and matching dies from Heartfelt Creations.

Instructions:  Stamp the image plus two separate portions of the flowers and buds onto X-Press It blending card using tuxedo black ink. Colour with Copic markers and cut out.  Stamp the Cardinal from HCPC 3353 and nine Posy petals, colour with Copic markers and cut using the matching dies.  Using foam tape, add the cardinal and the petals to the large image and the two portions. Add gems to the centre of the petals,

The walls of the birdhouse were designed in two parts and cut using the PI die cutter. Once cut all the fold lines are scored using ScorPal and strong craft glue used to adhere the two parts. The birdhouse walls are cut twice, once from cardboard (cereal box) and once from brown American craft card. The brown card was embossed using a woodgrain embossing die before attaching to the cardboard with Spray adhesive. The base of the birdhouse is also constructed in cardboard and brown card and was cut using a Spellbinder scalloped square die. Layers of die cut scallops covering some white card make up the roof with a hole punched through the centre of the ‘flashing’. The jute is threaded through this with a knot on the inside before the completed roof is attached to the birdhouse with more craft glue.

Once all the craft glue is dry add the main stamped image of the Cardinal over the front of the birdhouse using a mixture of foam tape and craft glue. Add the two smaller portions, one either side of the birdhouse.

Tie a bow in another length of jute at the base of the hanging loop to complete.

This was such fun to make and I did used the PI to design  the walls but it could just as easily be made without now I have the pattern.
