Celebrate - ac147

Hello,

Christmas is coming and the diary is starting to fill up, lots of fun things to look forward to at this end of the year.  How about you? have you started your shopping.......hush my mouth!!!!

On the run up to Christmas AnnaBelle has some fun new colour and sketch challenges to play along with, so come and join us we'd love to see your take on each of them.

Today, Andrea has a sketch and she asked the Belles to feature the very useful 'Shape It Up'.

So the Deal Of The Week is.........Shape It Up........buy this set, for one week only and save 20%.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For my card I flipped the sketch and stamped the polka dot shape (I call it a bandaid shape :) ) four times.  This is an easy shape to cut by hand and makes a lovely paper bow.  Two shapes for the loops one for the centre and the last one cut in half and shaped for the bottom of the ribbon.  High tac tape keeps everything in place, before the bow is added to a sentiment stamped circle.
Some cherry Sprinkles for a little bling complete the focal point of my card.
Pretty dp in matching reds, some paper piercing and this one is done!
After I made this one I thought I'd try a CAS version using another of AnnaBelle's sets to whip up a Christmas card.  So here goes.......the dreaded sponging....not sure why I attempt large areas!
This one uses Christmas Scene Baubles, Gifted Swirls, with a sentiment from Ornamental Christmas.
Anyway, better get moving.......I've a friend visiting from Sydney for a couple of days which is great and the boss and I are off to Lord Howe Island  so need to get on top of a few things.
Check in with the Belles, to see how they played with this week's sketch if you have a moment.
Don't forget to add your creations on the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog for a chance to win a credit in the store.
Til next time.........
CAS(E) this sketch # 4 - It's Christmas.
Hiya,
I'm pleased to say I have a card to share today......one I'm a little happier about too, which is great!
I've used the sketch from CAS(E) this sketch # 4.  It's been fun playing with each of the sketches and seeing how everyone interpreted them.  Last week's BOO card was picked as a favourite such a thrill, thanks ladies :)
Here's what I came up with.....so far.
I used a Spellbinder die to cut the baubles from some adhesive backed fabric paper.  Added some foam adhesive to the centre of the baubles to give them some dimension and added an ABS silver Sprinkle to the top of each.
The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps - 'Frame it".
Thanks for taking the time to call past today. I hope your week end is a relaxing one, I'm spending time in the garden, nothing too major just a tidy up!
Congratulations,
Theresa
who's beautiful card was picked as the favourite for last week's challenge on the Blog. The top three cards were fabulous too, so glad you joined in ladies.
The AnnaBelle  challenge this week is a colour challenge.  Lilac, Grey, Bluestone.
Andrea has a $10 voucher for the store for one lucky person, so join us, please.
Add your card to the link on the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog or you can add it to the gallery at Stamp, Embellish, Create. Don't forget to add the  TAG:   ac146
Here's my card which features 3 sets, BBD7, Stemmed Flowers and a sentiment from Fanciful flowers.
Thank goodness for Copic markers! That's how I got close to the colours this week, using B91,93 and 95. With RV11 which really isn't Lilac but the sample looked a bit pinkish to me :)  Maybe V95 would have been better.................hmmmmm!
I started by stamping off BBD7 (in London Fog) to some scrap paper before adding it to the smooth white card base. The sentiment was stamped in the same colour ink before adding the petals from Stemmed Flowers. To add the required bling I used Icicle Sprinkles.
Check in with the Belles who have some more ideas on working with this colour scheme. Links are under the DT tab at the top of my page.
Thanks for calling by, see you soon.......
Uniko Studio - Let It Snow
Hello crafting friends,
I have a quick card to share today, another Christmas card to add to the slowly growing stash!!!
Beverley from Uniko Studio Stamps offers some free digital images and papers every month and just asks for a link to projects made using them.........Sounds pretty good, right?  Yesterday's Boo card used her 'Super Free Saturday Boo" set.  Today I have a card using an image from this month's 'hohoho' set and a background digital pack called 'Hands Of Time" which she sells in her store.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I printed a piece of dp with the sentiment added to the bottom right side.
The two baubles were sized and printed to white card then cut  by hand.

These were lightly sponged to add a little dimension and although it's hard to see, I added some stardust Stickles around the edge of them.  Popped these up on foam tabs adding the silver twine behind each.

The dp is adhered to the base stamp with more foam tabs and some Kaisercraft gems added for more sparkle.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks Beverley, I think I'll be making a few more Christmas cards using these baubles as well as the lovely papers you so kindly made available.
See you tomorrow for Friday's AnnaBelle Stamps Challenge...........
Boo!
Hello,
I'm amazed at the amount of Halloween stuff in the shops this year..........Seems we need to get on board for this celebration!  Very few people ventured down our drive in the old house but this one might be a bit different so I thought I should get prepared......Fanfare please............
OK, ok just a small basket of treats.........but..... we might be eating these LOL......
I made a card too (I'm getting a little collection of Halloween cards.......note to self  SEND SOME!!!)
I used this week's CAS(E) this sketch  for the design with an image from Bev at Uniko Studio.
Coloured the image with Prisma pencils.
Embossed some coloured card with a Cuttlebug Pumpkin Harvest e.f.
I used Die-namics By The Letters dies to cut the sentiment.
That's it, better get this posted to meet the deadline.
Have fun if you trick or treat............I'm ready.................
HE HE it's just 7.50pm and the last of my treat bags have been snaffled by a large group of fairies :)
No lollies for Walshie and me.......thankfully!
Heartstrings - Scrapbook Boutique
Hello,
I'm sharing a little card made with products from Scrapbook Boutique today.
 This one uses an image from Some Odd Girl and she's cute as can be.  You can find the instructions for this card over at the Scrapbook Boutique Blog today.  I 've added the link below for all the products used.......if you're interested just click on the links :).
The pretty dp is from MME The Sweetest Thing - Lavender  and this sheet had a lovely vintage look, I think.  I coloured the image with Prisma pencils  and used Spellbinder dies to create a frame for the sentiment.
Thanks for calling past today, see you soon.......
