Polka Dot Baby

Time for AnnaBelles new challenge......Polka dots.....perfect!!!!

Hope you can play along with us, remember you have 2 weeks to link your project to the AnnaBelle Stamps Blog for your chance to win a shopping voucher for the on line store.

 Here's a 'new arrival' card......I think I'll be needing for a friend very soon :)

Not too sure what the sex of the new arrival will be so may need to make a pink version too!
I used the polka dots from BBD #1 for the label, adding some fine hemp twine.
The waves were cut with shaped scissors after running a scrap of card through the embossing machine using a Swiss dots ef.  The little boat from Boy's Party was coloured with Copics and hand cut.
The sentiment is from a third set, Baby Joy.
Check in with the Belle's for more inspiration using polka dots........
Keep checking in as later on next week we start sharing new sets, before the release on Friday 19th.... ooh such fun......think you'll like them :)

My card uses a Christmas image from My Minds Eye - Winter Wonderland, stamped and coloured on vellum.  I always allow enough vellum to wrap around the dp, this way no tape or glue is visible. Some white seam binding tied in a bow also covers the top of the vellum.
The dp  is Winter Fun from Carta Bella. with the die cut snowflakes from Cheery Lynn.  To add the snow I used Twinkles diamond dust which gives the card a lovely sparkle :)

Thanks for calling past today enjoy the rest of the hop :)

A Sunday Giggle for the broad minded......

Only read this post if you're broad minded.............

One of the ladies from Mah Jong read Fifty Shades of Grey and the books that followed.....Well I was a bit surprised as said lady is a member of the Book Club and usually mentions titles a little more.. um well lets say conservative :)  More surprising was that each of the women knew quite a bit about the books even though they hadn't read them, they'd read about them LOL.  I see this week one of the challenge blogs has a Fifty Shades Of Grey challenge......though of course they do just mean the colour GREY:)

The ladies thought it was hilarious that I received two copies from friends at Christmas.......Not  sure what to read into this gift (pardon the pun).
Now, I'm broad minded and I enjoy a good book but have to tell you I didn't finish Fifty Shades... to be honest I got bored with it so have no idea how it ended.  Anyone want the second copy..... a hard back, unopened :).....actually I haven't seen it lately, though it must be around somewhere.

The same lady sent me the following this morning, which made me laugh out loud.  Not TOO sure if I should add it here but to quote ELLEN........  a n y w a y !!!!!

                        FIFTY SHADES OF GREY - (a husband's point of view) -
                        By Pam Ayres of course..

                        The missus bought a Paperback,
                        down Shepton Mallet way,
                        I had a look inside her bag;
                        ... T'was "Fifty Shades of Grey".
                        Well I just left her to it,
                        And at ten I went to bed.
                        An hour later she appeared;
                        The sight filled me with dread...
                        In her left she held a rope;
                        And in her right a whip!
                        She threw them down upon the floor,
                        And then began to strip.
                        Well fifty years or so ago;
                        I might have had a peek;
                        But Mabel hasn't weathered well;
                        She's eighty four next week!!
                        Watching Mabel bump and grind;
                        Could not have been much grimmer.
                        And things then went from bad to worse;
                        She toppled off her Zimmer!
                        She struggled back upon her feet;
                        A couple minutes later;
                        She put her teeth back in and said
                        I am a dominater !!
                        Now if you knew our Mabel,
                        You'd see just why I spluttered,
                        I'd spent two months in traction
                        For the last complaint I'd uttered.
                        She stood there nude and naked
                        Bent forward just a bit
                        I went to hold her, sensual like
                        and stood on her left tit!
                        Mabel screamed, her teeth shot out;
                        My god what had I done!?
                        She moaned and groaned then shouted out:
                        "Step on the other one"!!
                        Well readers, I can't tell no more;
                        About what occurred that day.
                        Suffice to say my jet black hair,
                        Turned fifty shades of grey.

Hope you're enjoying your week end...........
