More Heartfelt Creations

Hi Blogger's,

I hope you had time to go visit the Heartfelt Creations Blog yesterday.....so many stunning creations to showcase the July release Botanical Garden Collection. Don't forget you can win the entire set here's how:

Leave a comment on the Heartfelt Creations blog or the designers blog by July 19 and one lucky person will win the entire release valued at $75.00. The winner will be announced on the HC blog on July 20.

Today as promised I'm sharing an Envelope card with you......a little bit different from the everyday greetings card so for a special occasion one of these might be just what you're looking for.  Hope you like this one!

I've added a greeting on a plain card that sits neatly inside the open envelope.

Would you like to know how I made this? OK here goes........

4.25 x 8.5 inches

HCD 710 Decorative Oval Window Die
                                    Spellbinders Shapeabilities Foliage Die
                                    Spellbinders Rose Creations Die

Other Products:         Kaisercraft English Rose Collection 12 x 12 double-sided dsp and 6” Paper Pad for flower and leaf die cuts. Romanprint Ivory card.
SU ink - certainly celery, pretty in pink and blush blossom. Rangers Distress ink antique linen for sponging. VersaMark, Memento tuxedo black.
EK Success Wave Flourish punch.  Dew Drops. Ivory lace, The Twinery ‘honeydew’ cotton twine. LSS clear gems. Dew Drops.  Dries Clear adhesive. Sewing machine and thread. ScorPal.

Instructions:
1.     Mark the centre of a 12 x 12 inch piece of double sided card and fold each of the four corners into the centre scoring well.  Turn it over so folds are underneath and fold the bottom up to the top and score.  Flip up the front flap and do the same with the back flap.
2.     I added the lace threaded with the cotton twine at this point by securing it under the two flaps.  The top section needs to be long enough to wrap all the way around the envelope and enough to tie a bow (approx. 20”) The bottom piece is approx. 12 inches.
3.     You can tape the flaps together and the body of the envelope (4.25 x 8.5) or as I did sew from the tip of the flap all around the envelope to hold it together. Sponge around all edges with antique linen ink.
4.     Die cut the Decorative Oval Window die from ivory card and whilst still in the die sponge with pretty in pink ink.  Trim out two flourishes from the die cut piece and using dries clear adhesive attach to flap front.
5.     Stamp, die cut and emboss the leaf motif from the Foliage die set 3 times from pale green dsp using certainly celery ink.
6.     Stamp 4 sets of three layer flowers and one 4-layer flower. I used various pinks from the paper pad and pretty in pink and blush blossom inks.
7.     Use the matching Spellbinder dies to cut the petals. Sponge the edges; shape and layer using dries clear to adhere.  Add a dew drop to the centre of each completed flower.
8.     Punch 2 wave swirls in a darker green add to flap with one of the die cut leaves.  Arrange three of the completed flowers to the flap and adhere with dries clear.
9.     To each bottom corner adhere a leaf branch and one completed flower. Add a strip of clear gems either side of the flap opening to complete the card front.
10  Trim some Ivory card to 3-7/8 x 7-6/8 inches. Sponge and stamp the edges using the tip of the fern stamp from the leaf medley set and certainly celery ink.  Stamp the sentiment in tuxedo black ink to complete the inside card. Slide into the envelope.
11 Tie a bow in the lace to close the envelope.

So will you try one of these do you think?  I hope so!  I'll share my third project on Saturday as Friday is AnnaBelle Stamps Day and we have another challenge so come by and check it out!!!

Till then, thanks for calling past............
