AnnaBelle Say It In ..............

Hellooooo

We're so excited here at AnnaBelle Stamps as we have NEW stamps to share with you. We're giving you sneak peaks at two sets today along with the new BBD 7, all of which should be available to purchase from January 14th.

We also have two fabulous new members to the Design Team ... Therese and Jess, you are going to love their work I promise.   Andrea has also invited Cath Dean to join us for  January as our guest designer. What a great way to start the new year.

I've added the girls links under the DT tab at the top of my page so why not go welcome them.  Andrea has more exciting news coming....... so keep watching.

Right, I better get on with the reason for the post today which is of course our usual Friday ABS challenge which this week is to 'Say It In Black, White and Silver".  We hope you'll join in and share your projects with us.

Both my cards feature images and sentiments from Garden Silhouettes.

I'm hoping to make a few more male cards this year so this challenge was a great way to start.
How about a fabulous new BBD set,  no.7 in the series and it's checks and stripes..... just right for all your male cards. I silver embossed my sentiment and added a chipboard U ........it works I think!
I'm adding this card in the CAS challenge over at the Outlawz site this week.
It's also my entry to CASual Friday's challenge CFC34
Simon Says Stamp challenge this week is to use something NEW so how about new stamp sets???

Here's a second card using the beautiful corner scrolls as well as one of the silhouette images......so pretty embossed in opaque white with a little silver twine bow!

That's it for me, but go check in with the girls who, I'm sure will inspire you with their work.
Till next time......................

Wednesday whatnots......

Hello, we're halfway through the first week of the new year and the weather has been amazing. Lots of people in Sydney returned to work yesterday but 'the boss' is off for a few more days....... would you like to see how he's spending his time?

Here's our little home on wheels. Unused and uncared for these past few (lots) of months. Well, work takes over and then it's garden, house ..... you know how it goes.  I just happened to share some pictures from Pinterest of sweet little vintage trailers, (which is what ours is) decked out with quilts and pillows and even some revamped with all the latest mod cons!  That was enough to spur him on, now he   talks of long weekends at his favourite beach......fishing..........ahhhhhhh well he seems happy so I've left well alone and got on with some 'secret card business'.  I wonder if he could fit me a desk in there..........

Tuesday Treasures

Happy Tuesday Blogger's......

Here's a card I made late last year and as yet haven't posted to the bloggeroo!

It uses both the positive and negative cut from a Spellbinder foliage die with some soft sponging. Adding a layer of dp behind the cut, some AnnaBelle paper twine and a little label....job done.  The ivory base card is linen textured which adds to the natural 'nature' of this one.

I'm adding this card to the Simon Says Stamp "Anything Goes" challenge this week.

Thanks for calling by, see you soon.

Let's get this year on track.......

Hi Blogger's ..........hope you're all over the headaches and ready to get 2012 started!

I was reading a couple of blog posts yesterday as I waited for friends to arrive at our place.  Marcia here made mention of her word for this year..........Well it got me thinking.......I'm not very good at resolutions,  each year I say the same kind of things.........eat less, exercise more, you know the kind of thing.

One word to keep in mind what I would like to achieve this year.....now that's more like it.
I've chosen SERENITY.  Not sure if it's quite the right word to sum up what I'm aiming for but  maybe if I could  be more patient, calm and not stress I'd be a better person and 2012 and any challenges it throws our way will be a good year.  Wish me luck!

The Roses Challenge

Happy New Year Blogger's

Hello, hope you're all rested after the Christmas festivities and that santa was good to you. Not sure I really deserved it but he was very good to me!   It's been good to have some time away from computers and my craft room but now I'm itching to get started again!

What a great way to start off the new blogging year....... with the ROSES challenge!  The Roses are a group of online friends who challenge each other each month.  This card  is actually for the December Challenge from last year :)  and it was my turn to pick the challenge.  I asked the girls to make a collage card using  a vintage image, lace, ribbon, glitter and one recyled item from Christmas.

Here's mine:

I've used the pretty bowl of roses for my vintage image. The lace is threaded through with fine satin ribbon. See the mother of pearl button .... that's my recyled item.  It's the spare button from a pretty blouse I received at Christmas. My die cut rose ......I hope you can see, is liberally sprinkled with  glitter.

I can't wait to see the cards the girls made why not join me, you'll find all the links under the DT tab at the top of my page.

See you soon.............
