Happy 2014.......

Oh my, 2014 can you believe it?  Happy New Year.

2014 marks the start of a new phase in my life.  Walshie retired at Christmas, (he'd want me to add the word 'early' so here it is :)) well almost he is working for the next 12 month as a consultant via mobile and Computer, so not too bad.  It's all very exciting as we hope to travel a bit more together, both within Australia and overseas.

I'm thinking my blog might show the changes too, with some travel posts as well as more of my sewing bits and bobs I think. I worked on my first December Daily last year and really enjoyed that, so that might be something I keep going as a Journal.  Only time will tell!

I'm taking a bit of a holiday from the blog for January with only scheduled posts and the Scrapbook Boutique posts that are ready to go. I think I need to re-group, re think how I spend my time here etc. I'm taking the camera out with me as we catch up with friends, so there might be some snaps to share but probably very few cards.

No resolutions as such again this year, instead I've picked a word that I hope to put into practise during 2014.

EMBRACE

EMBRACE: an act of accepting something willingly or enthusiastically.

Well, I think there will be a bit of adjusting to be done with the boss around 24/7.  I might have to bite my tongue every now and then.....remember to breathe and smile.......EMBRACE!!

The end of 2013 has been a bit stressful, with family issues on the other side of the world.  Distance makes everything difficult.  The start of 2014 is already up in the air, but I hope things will soon settle down.

I hope you sailed through Christmas surrounded by family and friends and that 2014 will be a very healthy and happy year for you.

Take care,
