Magical Monday - Picture Inspiration

Hello Blogger's ...........How was your week end? Did the sunshine where you are and did you manage to get some crafting time in? I was luck enough to get both though it's getting a bit cool of an evening here now, cardigans and ugg boots to the ready!

I'm sad to say this is my last post for Magical Monday at There's Magic In The Air. Going off on our travels early June made this the time to step down. I've had so much fun working with Nina's lovely images and along with her and her inspiring design team the weeks have just flown round. So my thanks to Nina and the 'designing divas' at TMITA/PCC, I wish you well and hope we can stay in touch. I'll be playing along with you as soon as I'm home..... and checking out all the inspiring projects if I get access to a computer at all while I'm away.......shhhh ... don't tell Walshie!!

On to this weeks challenge which is set by Nilla. We are asked to use any of Nina's images to make our project this week using the following photo as the inspiration.

It's a beautiful picture don't you think, I'm sure these orchids are sitting in Nilla's home...lucky girl.

Here's my card:
I've used Nina's image 'Sunday Afternoon' for my card. I've coloured the image with my Copic markers, cut it with a Spellbinder die and sponged the edges whilst still in the die. This is a lovely image, great to colour and could be used for all sorts of projects.

For the pale green background I've used a couple of my new stamps from Waltzingmouse stamped in New Sprout onto some pale green card. I've added some lace and satin ribbon before attaching the image on foam dots.

The sentiment is another WMS stamped in black onto white card and sponged, I just rounded two opposite corners to fit in with the die cut image.

Hope you'll play along with us all again this week, we love seeing which of Nina's images you feature as well as all the different styles of cards submitted. Nina, as always has a prize for the randomly picked winner........check out this cutie, it could be yours but as they say 'You have to be in it to win it'...... so get those thinking caps on.

I'm hoping (if I get my act together and work out how this works....ergh so far I haven't been able to link the picture sorry !!!!) to have some stuff to share for a Waltzingmouse Blog Hop that starts at around midnight our time tonight. I've been playing with new stamps over the week end and am loving these beautiful clear stamp sets. Hope you'll call past to take a peak!

Till then.............

Edit:  Sorry I've updated the posting page and can't work out how to link the picture ......help!!!!

Gorgeous card Sue, love the sponging of the Nestie, what a good idea to do it while still in the die. Weather here is lovely today but unfortunately local airports been closed again due to volcano. Hope you enjoy your trip here.
